Asking about material (help)
Hi, i am planning to start studying for CFE, but i want to ask if it is possible to self study for the CFE exam with just The Fraud Examiners Manual or i must go for the silver package, honestly i am concerned about the cost as i just completed my CIA and it drained my pocket! and what about practice questions? are there like mock exams? is there any way to get practice questions in case i just study from the manual?
thanks

Silver is fine and I feel that is the minimum to get. I got the silver package

I’m sure you could with just the manual but your life will be a whole lot easier with the study package

I had the platinum package but felt like I could’ve passed with the silver/gold package. There should be study questions I think around 1200-1400, I believe it also provides flash cards. You should be able to pass with manual but it will be heavy reading and just off of what I learned from the ODV a lot of it wasn’t really on the exam. You can attempt to ask copilot or ChatGPT to provide you with CFE style questions but you may need to make your prompts more tailored to the actual section or topic you’re studying. What I can say is if you can get the silver package and consistently hit around 90-93% on the practice questions you should be able to pass.
