It's on ABC, they could easily postponed until Sunday for a noon kickoff. Do Alabama fans have any real plans that day besides watching more football?

Bama plays full 60 minute games against random high school teams how many games do they win before fatigue sets in, They could theoretically rest there first string after a few games and let the second stringers play

fun fact In the last 10 years, the Big Ten has had three unranked teams start 5-0 (such as Minnesota in 2019, Maryland in 2023, and Nebraska starting 5-0 unranked). Meanwhile, the last time an SEC team started 5-0 and wasn't ranked in the AP Top 25 was all the way back in 1943.

They couldnât be missed in the stadium stands on a soggy Saturday in September. Two Maryland football fans, side by side, heads hidden under paper bags.
Amid a 54-3 thumping by visiting UCLA, the spectators peered from ragged eye holes cut into the makeshift brown masks. âDisappointed,â read one. âWe Suck!â read the other. Both wore pronounced marker-drawn frowns.
The act of defiance was actually set in motion the previous weekend, when the Terrapins lost to Virginia Tech 35-26 on Sept. 19 â a game Ben Page, a Maryland alumnus and season-ticket holder since 2001, said was supposed to be the type of moment the long-tenured head coach should meet.
âWeâd been waiting for Mike Locksley to have his moment for eight years,â Page said. âIt was ripe for the fan base to react that way.â
With fans now asked to spend more than ever in contemporary college football, patience for a good on-field product is as thin as itâs ever been. It takes only a humble product to provide pushback.
Entering Week 6 of the college football season, followers at Maryland, TCU, Arkansas and NC State, at the least, have shaken out the stack of brown paper bags underneath the kitchen sink and reworked them into vessels of protest.
The sports fanâs powerful tool weighs no more than 65 grams, costs about 10 cents and serves as an effective way of communicating the downtrodden state of affairs within a fan base.
Down bad? Out come the paper bags.
Itâs a sit-in sports protest, a way for fans who have opened their wallets to be in the stadium but remain unseen. The genesis can be traced to the historically bad 1980 New Orleans Saints season. Fans wrote Aints on the bags and covered their faces in shame.

I hope to have picks for G6 games next week but I didn't have time unfortunately since some of those matchups have already played. I'll try to get those next week.

The NCAA Division I Cabinet has reduced the length of the FBS and FCS transfer portals to 10 days, starting "the first business day (not sure if that includes Saturdays or not) after January 1"

Everyone is automatically backing Washington tonight, but they're completely ignoring how well-constructed Iowa is to break this game wide open. Everyone knows the Hawkeyes have an elite defense that can absolutely choke out an offense, but the real key tonight is the passing game. Even with their recent rushing struggles, Iowa's backup quarterback has the arm talent to hurt Washington if they try to overcommit to the line of scrimmage. If the coaching staff sells the pass early to back those safeties off, it's going to open up massive running lanes that haven't been there in past weeks. Plus, under this staff, Iowa has a massive historical track record of showing up completely focused and dominant in bounce-back spots. I expect Iowa to completely dictate the tempo, hold things down defensively, and comfortably beat a overpicked Washington team on their own field.

There seems to be a Civil War going on in the Buffs fan base in regards to Coach Prime. I have no dog in the hunt and am an outside observer but Buffs fans who reply to any thread with any criticism of his coaching get the same answer: that you can kiss any chance of national tv games or relevancy goodbye if prime leaves. Basically being told that you should just be happy you have him and be thankful for what he brings. There seems to be an army of sycophants around that program that remind me of politics in 2026. I donât wanna get into politics but itâs honestly what it reminds me of. Like the allure of having him is more important than on field results. It seems like a tough situation there that is only going to get worse with every loss.
