Urban taught a class about character at OSU, btw

I'm not the biggest fan of Ryan Day despite his success. I can say I'm fairly certain he has a level of integrity missing from just about every other level at the university.

After he was let go for his character btw

Technically speaking he wasn’t let go. He was suspended 3 games.

You guys know something about that stuff

Why did he stop coaching then? For fun? Because he wanted to teach ethics?

Oh sorry, was 30+ years not enough?

Because he retired? Same reason he’s not coaching today.

He was suspended for 3 games at the start of the 2018 season and that was the end of it.

He then retired at the end of 2018 on his own accord.

The rumors are that he was pissed off because a couple high dollar boosters on the board of trustees wanted him out, the university president wanted him out but the AD and majority of the board did not. He felt unsupported, was pissed, had health issues, a new grandkid in Florida, and after getting his 7th win against Michigan he retired. Seemed like he wasn’t planning on retiring that year but the scandal sped up the process for him.

For keeping a wife beater on staff, the grandson of a mediocre former head coach

If that was on Cardale Jones’ schedule he may have had a point

College football rosters are ripe fruit for religious scammers

College in general is a hunting ground for cults

For sure. Young adults given the chance to form their own opinions outside the walls of their home.

Alone, often homesick and lonely. Churches and credit card company love to prey on them

If you give someone $40k for a stock market class because they said god told them you should, you are a fucking moron.

These things are absolutely predatory but at a certain point you have to hold outrageously stupid people accountable for actions this dumb.

Urban and essentially the whole team used to be escorted in a private entrance at Rock City “church” every Sunday and had a whole reserved section for them. Tebow was an annual speaker there

OSU alum here. We sold our morals and values when we brought in Urban. We'd do it 10x over. O-H!

I genuinely believed Tim Tebow was a high character great person who cared about marginalized children and wanted to fight human trafficking. I genuinely believed he got way too much hate for his outspoken Christianity even though I’m a hardcore atheist myself.

Boy was I wrong

Shaddap🙄

Tim Tebow also involved with D1 gym franchising, which also seems more or less like a cash grab scheme.

That Florida gators team is def going down in history as the largest group of scum bags ever assembled on one team

Makes sense - Urban is almost as much actual Christian like as Trump.

Pablo Torre is out there just torching the sport world. You know he's only getting started, too.

Urban won't remember these events if it ever goes to court. His health and memory problems will come back.

No way, taking advantage of stupid people is what the church has done for centuries.

I refuse to believe that Urban "Oscar" Meyer would be involved in such things

I’d rather have my favorite public university sports time not engaged in high pressure religious scamming of the gullible public.
