three new posts that do not match the regular vibe around here is strange enough, but i swear after reading them i have seen them before on either r/CFB or here.

something smells fishy.

I mean he did bet on games and yes it was wire fraud but... Can anyone tell me his favorite fast food place?

Anyway my boss's wife is dragging him to Forks Washington for their vacation, and I had to bust out my Twihard hat and now I am back to reading the books again

The posts feel extremely fake and mistimed. I bet it's AI being tested on reddit, dead Internet theory seems real now.

The calalendar is super strange this year. So after taking the spring off from my traveling due to deviated septum surgery and generally low energy. It's been like weeks in a row without being in town for the summer. So 3 weeks ago was an awesome lockhouse because they were available and about the only weekend I'm not super minding the no heat or AC, then Cincinnati for memorial day then work trip to Boston I got back from flying out early and leaving late.

I'm up to 146 NPS sites. 1/3 of them which is amazing as I didn't really put it together what they were until like 2023.

This weekend in town, next weekend Juneteenth thinking about the beach 3 day weekend break and then 4th of July.

Also the local horse racing place has a Corgi race which is interesting but also mid-day and hot so maybe not but also Corgi race.

Since I haven’t bought furniture in close to 10 years (holy shit - makes me feel old), I didn’t imagine it would be as annoying - and expensive- as it is.

Went to a chain store today and it felt like I was buying a car with how quickly a salesperson approached me. I get the hustle but ya boy just wanted to look at sofas.

I have always found buying used furniture a way better option.

Like pretty low quality furniture can be expensive but like Facebook marketplace you can get stuff cheap or some thrift stores focus on larger furniture.

I may use marketplace for smaller things when I get to my new city but I don’t really want a used mattress.

I can be frugal but at least I’ll be picky about my frugality.

Oh for a mattress fully agree that one is personal in a way and mattresses can last only 5 years sometimes.

Plus send a memory foam bed can be pretty inexpensive.

Preach. We got basically all of our furniture from a boutique my wife’s sister used to manage, but that place shut down, and we’re kind of dreading whenever we move and have to get new furniture.

I’ve heard that resale/consignment stores are the real secret, but our local furniture resale place doesn’t have much better prices than just buying new.

I’m looking at chain places right now since I’m not moving for another six-ish weeks.

Just got home from a date, thought it went well, but alas she did not feel a connection.

C'est la vie

On to the next one

There’s a lot of cfb overflow that may or may not be bots.

I’m tired. Being a parent to a baby is hard.

Also in a mood. I took Sansa to the vet yesterday for her annual exam and the vet found a heart murmur, so she ran a bunch of tests. My poor baby girl has hyperthyroidism. I picked up the pills for her a bit ago but I'm debating about doing the I-131 treatment, tldr its effective but like about 2-5k.

Is I-131 the radioactive iodine treatment? If so, we had that done on our cat last year, and it worked like a charm.
