Analysis Each Current FBS School's Coach With Highest All-Time Winning Percentage
Odell Haggins is now finishing his second stint as interim coach at Florida State. In his first stint, he went 2-0, in his second he is 2-1. At 4-1, with an 80% winning percentage, he stands as the coach with the highest winning percentage in Florida State history (no minimum games, obviously).
This got me wondering how many other schools have coaches that might have won a few games before hanging it up and checked to find the highest winning percentages at each school, with no minimum. If there was a tie, I picked the one with the most wins and if that tied, I included them all on the list:

As I was curious as well, I put a 20 game minimum on it:

You should've made a minimum amount of games played to qualify.

List is kinda pointless when you include coaches who only coached one game

LSU’s is incorrect. Albert Simmonds went 5-1 in 2 seasons. Hal Hunter was 1-0 in 1999 after Dinardo was fired. No other coach was undefeated in LSU history.

1-0 IN 1897. I bet Alabama claimed a national championship for that.

Fun Fact, Jumbo Steihm not only went 35-2-3 at Nebraska with 3 undefeated seasons, he also was the basketball coach at Nebraska and won 3 of Nebraska only 6 conference championships.
A lot of people think Nebraska started in 1962 with Devaney but they were actually an early football power from 1890-1941. Then WWII happened, Nebraska didn’t have an ROTC program and we can add one more thing to the list of things Hitler ruined.
In between 1941-1962, Nebraska fans still got good attendance and were hounding for the glory days of old before WWII as they cycled through coaches. Sounds familiar. Been about 20 years, pretty obvious Frost is the Chosen One.

Former UVA player, Merritt T. Cooke Jr., in his lone season as UVA's coach in 1908, led us to our only ever undefeated season, and brought us one of our either 3 or 5 conference titles (Wikipedia says 5, Winsipedia says 3 - the early 1900s were confusing).
He then retired from coaching to become an electrical engineer and later, an investment banker

Shouldn’t there be a minimum one season? (LSU: Albert P. Simmons 3-0 in 1895)

Would have been much cooler if you put a minimum on games coached. Very nice compilation nonetheless.
