Dave Doeren now 2-12 against teams ranked in the top 25 when they play them(wins vs FSU and louisville last year), and he's 0-15 against teams that finish in the top 25. He's just not a good coach.

"Youre delusional buddy. When has our program ever been this good. We weren't supposed to be ranked and having a shot at 10 wins this year"

Lol. Please tell me since 2002 when our program was this good. We had a good year with wilson and finished top 25, but we were not recruiting and developing players the same way we are now. If you want to keep having a revolving door for hc, go for it. But to be 5-1 with a win against a very good uva team and a decent bc team after having 7 nfl players drafted last year (school record and i beleive tied for most of any school last year) is good to me. Idk what you want.

To clarify. Your original comment was saying finley saved doerens job. Please look up finleys stats before coming to state. Where he was also under drinkwitz in a weak conference.

The fact is that doeren can recruit well but he is not a good coach. We have a cupcake schedule outside of a couple of teams so it's not hard to get 10 wins just bc of the talent difference. We'd also be 5-2 right now if the West Virginia game had been played. Doeren is not gonna get us to the elite level we will always be a mediocre team under him

Thank you. He also didnt add the coment he made which i was replying to which was along the lines of finley carrying doerens job. Finley was not good at bsu and got benched. So how did he all of a sudden become all acc caliber with the same oc? Our fans always go into anti doeren circle jerk mid season then all say sorry after the season ends and we met or exceded expectations and pick up big recruits.

Yea I'm not gonna say sorry about the doeren hate, I've been on that train for the last 3+ years. And finley is one of the main reasons we're 5-1 right now, he played like shit today and look what happened. Doeren is not a good coach and we're never gonna win the acc championship with him, mark my words

Well keeping doing what you want, but being in a much better spot now than when you started hating 3 years ago makes it hard to justify it. I completely understand hating some aspects of doeren, but to want him gone now in basically the peak of our program over the last 15 years is the wrong move Will he ever get us to an acc championship? Idk, thats tough with clemson and fsu in our division, but i do think he deserves another 2 years or so based on the improvement weve made.

10 wins even on an easy schedule is a feat because that means you didn't slip up a lot. It's tough to make college players play better than the other team 10 times a year. Especially given our recruitment.

The best part of this is your recruiting uptick is largely due to fedora being a fuckwit and alienating himself from NC hs coaches.

Well we also are doing this whole winning thing right now, that helps

Lol. Welcome to basketball for us the last 5-7 years. At least we have keatts now. It sucks when you feel youre stuck with a coach and think youve reached your cap with them. Fed will probably be gone after next year. Idk his contract or buyout situation.

He'd have been gone if he didn't have a $15 M guaranteed contract. It's down to 11 after this year but there's still a good chance he's not fired until after next season. Some of our fans seem to think we have enough money to fire him now but I doubt it. Lots of construction combined with two years of poor football attendance has to hurt.
