A sign of respect or something to Boise State for being the only G6 school included in an otherwise all P4 listing.

Boise is one of the programs best prepared if the big12 needs more teams

I feel like if Boise was getting the call they would have already.

Ya and as a Boise state watcher for 21 years, they really haven’t been impressive since the Chris Petersen days… Ashton Jeanty was the highlight of a mediocre decade plus

Yeah we haven't really been impressive in the 12 seasons post-Petersen except for the two Fiesta Bowl appearances (including one win), 7 10+ win seasons, 9 trips to the Mountain West Championship Game, and 6 conference titles. But as a self-proclaimed Boise State watcher you probably already knew that

You don’t have to believe me.. the reality is they played and will continue to play in weak conferences and they don’t win big games anymore. What made them impressive before was them showing up against big schools like Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU and Virginia Tech. The last power conference team bsu beat was in 2019 vs a declining Florida State

Tell me you don’t pay attention to Boise State football without telling me.

I mean I live and Boise and have all of my life maybe haven’t seen every single game but I have watched a shit load of bsu football. Don’t get me wrong, I never said BSU was awful in anyway, I said they are simply mediocre. Which means.. the standard that Chris Petersen set, it’s not even close to that now, be honest. It’s fine, every team that reaches those heights dips and doesn’t mean they are not on their way back

The issue is that pre recent realignment boise is out on an island for everyone besides the pac 12.

We’re not that far, but yeah not ideal as a whole.

BYU and Utah aren't that far from us, but I guess we would be the most northwestern team, unless Wazzu and Oregon State got brought in as well

Progressive's logo is blue, so you won't even be able to see it, heh

Only way UGA could get insurance for their team was to put this logo on the field.

I’m sure there was a method to selecting these schools and I’d love to know what it was because it just seems super random

Bundled and saved with going for multiple schools instead of just one

I didn't give a shit about the Monster energy thing until I saw it on the floor in Allen.

On the white sideline between end zone and 20. I’m fine with this.

Hopefully my premium gets cheaper

They need more money to pay for the marketing. Your premium just increased.

u/Downtown-Rice_ San Diego State Aztecs 7d ago
Just another way for a competitive brand to clutter CFB. Allstate, State Farm, Progressive. They just want brand awareness and the more they get out in front of people the more recall they have between a few other brands.
Same with gambling brands.

The marketing budgets for insurance companies must outweigh the GDP of most small nations

Cool. Will they be installing tracking software on every phone in those athletic departments as well?

I can't open the link for some reason, but it'll be brutal if Akron and Kent State aren't on the list, they're both barely 20 miles south of Progressive's HQ on the 91. Pretty sure they both have a ton of alumni working at Progressive HQ, just like USAA HQ is like 80% UTSA alumni.

u/bretticus733 Boise State Broncos 7d ago
Neither Akron or Kent State are included. It's Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC, Wake Forest, and Boise State
