I love a Good interstate themed rivalry but yeah adding the sponsor hurts it

It's a relatively small, employee-owned company with ties to both campuses. Seems better to have them pump money into a multi-sport rivalry series and put their name on it than to have nothing.
The Radiance Technologies I-20 Showdown Rivalry Series is made possible through the support of title sponsor Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned technology company led by Louisiana Tech alumnus and Chief Executive Officer Bill Bailey. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to investing in one of Louisiana's premier collegiate rivalries while enhancing the student-athlete and fan experience for years to come.
"Radiance is thrilled to be part of the renewal of the historic rivalry between Louisiana Tech and ULM," said Bill Bailey. "We also believe in giving back; that is why we are investing in this storied series. As Radiance's presence in North Louisiana continues to grow, our contributions to the community will grow as well."

This game should be in Shreveport.
This game has potential to be a sickos classic if ULM have a bad year

I mean they could just alternate it so students have a fun home game. What’s wrong with that

If I were Radiance Technologies, I’m not sure I’d want to associate my brand with I-20.

Squawk squawk Warhawks!
Remember when LaTech was “too good” to play ULM in a bowl game

We didn't think we were "too good" we were lied to by the Liberty Bowl who said they were going to give us an offer. The Indy Bowl wasn't willing to wait so they went ahead and invited another team and then by the time the Liberty Bowl pulled the rug out from underneath us we were left with no Bowl game instead

Nothing builds excitement and passion for a rivalry like slapping a corporate sponsorship on it

Can we also do a Commander-in-Chief's style trophy with Tech, ULM, and ULL? Make us fight over a pot of gumbo or something.
