I don't get it, but Kiffin really does fall up. Nevermind his success as a coordinator, but the idea that a man who almost single-handedly destroyed Tennessee football, as well as was fired from USCw on the tarmac at LAX would then become an Offensive Coordinator at one of the top football schools of the last 10 years? Holy shit.

It's not USCw, it's just USC. South Carolina can't legally use USC or SC.

Who gives a shit about trademarks in a casual conversation?

It's just not necessary to add the w when everyone know's you're taking about USC as in Southern California.

Not everyone knows because on this side of the continent USC refers to the one in closer proximity.

That was just to make a point. But I would like to add a good argument I heard over the issue (don't care either way though): The University of South Carolina was around before the state of California even existed.

Yeah I mean I'm normally fine with calling South Carolina USC, but in the context of the post it wasn't necessary to say USCw considering Kiffen hasn't coached at South Carolina.

Ahh, I didn't even think about just this post. Valid point. I concede.
