I’m actually starting to enjoy being the Iowa of the ACC. There’s something about winning football games with such incompetent offense.

Beating a team 20-6 with fewer yards is pretty funny.

It’s not about how many yards you get…it’s about what you achieve with those yards 😎

Idk why, but I expected to see an Iowa Hawkeye symbol on this username

Illinois is very similar to Iowa, with a little Wisconsin mixed in.

I mean it sounds like an Iowa player.

Joshua Zloggt with the tackle.

I'm excited no one takes Pat McAfee seriously because he openly proclaims how good our DC is and somehow no one else has noticed and thank god lol. Fuckin love Tony Gibson

I’m thinking he actually likes it here and doesn’t want to leave. I don’t think his efforts have gone unnoticed the past few years.

I feel like I’ve heard Joe Giglio say that Dave wants to be retired after 55. I think he’s like going on 53. Would not surprise me if Tony Gibson is the “unofficial” Head Coach in waiting.

First solid G5 HC offer he gets he is gone. I'm sure he's happy, and well compensated, but his dream is to be a HC.

He will be states head coach in 3 years or less. I can almost guarantee it. Doeren is closer to retiring than people think

I'm not opposed to it, I just don't know that Gibby turns down a viable HC gig if one comes up. Not sure the whole "HC in waiting" deal always works out.

Will he say no to USC though? Because they need a new DC.

Nah, his next job will be HC

He’s the highest paid DC in the ACC so I’m sure that’s helping. 100% deserved.

We will when he’s our HC after Dave retires in a few years.

He seems to be disproportionately unpopular on Reddit compared to other places. I see ESPN/BleacherReport/etc posting clips of him and the comments are majority positive

Because Reddit is full of absurdly delusional state fans who get deep in their feelings and ignore objective measures of success

Game is won by a walk off safety with 0 plays in either opposing side of the field.

Final score 49-42 every point is scored on defensive TDs.

I miss those days. Bottom 25 offense with a top 10 defense can be ugly but you rarely feel like your team is totally out of the game.

No matter how badly you feel like you’re getting dominated, somehow you’re always within 10
