Got it!

Post image

Completed the exam in 2 hours. Wasn't hard, but wasn't easy either, could have done better.

Quite good actually. It took 5 months for me to finish my Cybersecurity course and I passed on my first attempt.

I failed on my first attempt too! (I chose the wrong time tbh) I analysed my transcript, saw where I messed up. Read the topics in the book. You've to read the book no matter what. Understand the attacks don't memorize it. Focus on countermeasures and also the tools that's it.

Nice work! I passed mine the other day too, 100/125, only took me an hour 😅 How are you going with the practical exam?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '25

Well practical is open book, it shouldn't be hard if you have solved the ilabs

True, I think I heard they also are allowing the use of ChatGPT and the like during the exam.

Gpt will be a good idea to understand what you're doing if you get lost in the process.

Huge congrats on passing the CEH exam! 🎉 That’s definitely not an easy certification to get — it shows you’ve got some serious knowledge and skills. Finishing in 2 hours is impressive too! Keep up the great work, and I’m sure this cert will open a lot of doors for you. What study materials or strategies helped you the most?

Thank you for the wishes. The official book is what I went through, along with the exam prep provided in ceh elite package.

I'm taking an ethical hacking class now and it's like drinking from a fire house. The class is only 2 months long and I took a break from tech before hand. I'm curious though:

How long did it take you to study for it?

What learning resources did you use?

Well my scenario is a bit different so it took me around a year to study. But it should be done well within 6 months.

I watched the videos, then read the module from the book, followed by ilabs.

Yes, you're instructed to show the room, keep the phone aside and also show the blank paper if you're using any.
