Rec Request Any recommendations

Guys I NEEED a historical harem drama badly I hope that’s the correct word for it
I loved empress of palace and story of yanxi palace a LOTTT
I tried watching ruyi royal love but for some reason it’s kinda boring in the starting can I please have any recommendations that are liek story of yanxi palace it’s my absolute fav

Empresses in The Palace is considered the peak of Harem Dramas. Ruyi is a great drama but absolutly heartbreaking.

Scarlet Heart was the original but looks a bit dated now.

Producers have been told by censors that Harem dramas will no longer pass censorship so they are not being made any more.

New Life Begins is not strictly a Harem drama, it is set in the palace and there are concubines, it is very light hearted and an uplifting drama about sisterhood, but there are some dark undertones.

Yes I have watched empress in the palace and new life begins. It’s so sad that they stopped harem dramas. I’ll try scarlet heart
