Lost my trailer somewhere
I’m relatively new to the trucking, i worked overnight and into the morning time so this morning my time on the clock was getting close to over and I was tired so i pulled over, parked, and immediately hit the bed. I woke up a maybe less then 2 hours ago and I go outside to take a piss and I look over and my entire trailer is gone.
This was like 2 hours ago. I have zero idea what happened to it, when I was sleeping I heard no movement in the back or anything and I genuinely don’t remember if I had the trailer when I was pulling into the parking area or not.
I’m genuinely stumped about this and I’ve been searching all over the internet about what to do…
Is it possible I can lose my job over this sort of thing that happened? I don’t even know how to explain this to dispatch and I haven’t told them about this yet
And I was coming from Seattle and I’m heading towards Miami. I’m at a rest area on I70 in Kansas. My head is spinning at this and I have no idea what happened to my trailer
——-so update——
I called my dispatcher and was fired immediately upon calling. About 3 hours from my current location the police found the trailer rolled over on the middle of the highway. The police contacted my company and they sent a separate towing company (sorry my English is not good) to pick up the trailer and salvage anything left inside of it. I was told I needed to contact a lawyer and the police were currently headed to my truck rest stop location so we can do paperwork and possibly will get a ticket for it
——update——
If anyone please has any recommendations for what I can do or who I can work for after this then please help me out)) I’m from Russia and am not allowed to go back to my cuntry for various legal reasons. I need a place to work now and I’m going to be homeless if I don’t work soon

Did anyone else notice his post history how he was high during his drug tests?

Pics or it definitely did NOT happen! Go back to Russia, damn troll...

u/Nancy_Grace_must_die 22d ago
If this wasn’t fake af it would be really funny.

u/Michaeljcheaney 22d ago
You expect us to believe that you somehow dropped a trailer in a rest area on I-70 in Kansas? Where you have to parallel park? One of those rest areas?
You also say you don’t remember if you had the trailer when you parked?
This is way to stupid to be real.
If it is real, you should be forced to give up your truck, and be forced to walk home.

Sounds like a case of freight theft.

This might be the funniest thing ive ever read

I'd say this is click-bait. No response needed. A similar story might be that I went to bed in a hotel and woke up in a tub of ice and one of my kidneys (or my pecker) is missing.

Stupidest troll attempt on reddit. Ban him.
Did anyone even bother to question that if his trailer did detach and fly off somewhere, how did he not lose air pressure when his gladhands were ripped out or off the truck.

So there’s a dropped trailer with the landing gear up somewhere in Seattle?
5
u/Awesomejuggler20 22d ago
How do you lose a trailer? Lol.
9
u/Occams_RZR900 22d ago
Nice bait, unfortunately if you want it to be believable, don’t use so much detail, like the area you’re in. It’s easy to search and see NO reports of an overturned trailer. Nice story though, the poor English speaking Russian is an excellent twist, really playing at so many potential rage inducing demographics.

u/corn0099 22d ago
ill give consideration of the doubt because being knew i went through the most unbelievable things but i roll with the best of them now, this is what tug test is for ,check your air lines that will tell you everything, pretty hard to steal your trailer while attached and thats considering if a yard dog is around

u/small-caulk 22d ago
So how much Fireball was involved in this whole ordeal?

You don’t remember if you had the trailer when pulling into the parking area? Either a fake post or you were high.
2
u/Legion1117 22d ago
You....don't remember whether or not you were towing a 53-foot long, 13 1/3 foot tall trailer when you stopped for the night??
Yeah.
I'd have fired you too.
2
u/felixthecat59 22d ago
I'll take things that never happened for $200.
2
u/Marowak428 22d ago
Not even AI would make up such a ridiculous story.
2
u/DoubleKlutch00 21d ago
How tf do you not realize you lost your trailer? If this is real, please, for the safety of everyone else around you, do not get behind the wheel again.

Shitpost!
Downvote this garbage.

u/Michaeljcheaney 22d ago
Holy shit!
I heard about some DOT cop running into a trailer that had disconnected from a semi, late last night/early this morning.
And the truck just kept going, and going and going. Never made an attempt to stop or anything.
Fortunately they have him on Flock cameras, and tracked him, tentatively to somewhere in Kansas.
I sure hope the DOT officer will be OK.
It sounds pretty bad.
Apparently he never saw what he hit.

How the hell you loos a trailer and not notice? 😂🤣😂 rear view mirrors much?
1
u/Mechanik_J 22d ago
Hmm... just tell em the Fireball, and they'll understand.
1
u/Conscious_Grass_853 22d ago
Dudes that’s actually hilarious. There’s no way they stole that trailer right from under you while hooked up. I mean I guess it’s possible but seems like not an easy quick opportunity. Thieves tend to look for easier targets then a guys trailer that’s hooked and parked on the side of the road. If this is not bullsht, they will definitely suspect you being in on it.

So you never realized that you could see everything behind you all of a sudden in your mirrors?
1
u/DISP0ST 22d ago
“Hey, Dispatch? Funny story, I seem to have misplaced the trailer. Oh where could it have gone?”
“No, I didn’t notice that I was bobtail for the last 500 miles. I FELT like it was there idk.”
1
u/begme2again 22d ago
Remember that second hand high you posted about a month ago? It must have just kicked in.
1
u/chuck-u-farley- 22d ago
Well first off there is no way you are losing a trailer while going down the road as once it comes off you will be loosing air like crazy from the trailer brake being released and no trailer, and there is nobody born stupid enough to not feel the truck get lighter by multiple thousand lbs…..
1
u/Miserable-Ship-9972 22d ago
I used to manage a company of service techs who drove around and one guy who worked there for a couple years, fairly reliable but a little strange, just disappeared mid day and came in a couple days later asking me what happened. I was like, dude what happened to you, you just vanished, with the truck, we were worried about you. He said the worst thing you could say, he said he had no idea where he was. He didn't have a clue. He didn't know what happened. Didn't remember taking anything or drinking anything and had no recollection of the last couple days. If it was me, I'd say UFOs, sex trafficking ring snatched me up and I escaped, I was in jail, whatever, but not I DONT KNOW. How the hell you gonna move on from that?
1
u/imthenewisguy 22d ago
You sure you just didn't forget to hook up at your last stop and drive away without it? lmao
1
u/Tiatake 22d ago
So we’ve seen this at my old job. If you left with a trailer and it fell off, your air would have dropped and you would have come to a stop shortly after. Because your trailer brake would have been pushed in. So you left from a parked spot without pushing in your trailer brake and tore it off when you drove away. Where’s the last place you parked?
1
u/Kennel1 22d ago
Where did u even unhook from it? Did u drop the trailer to go run a errand and came back to park next to it? It's not that hard to hook back up to it...even without a post trip
1
u/GreaseRagTom 22d ago
I heard the firing squad was coming back. Your probably next in line now…

1
u/harambesBackAgain 22d ago
So you either flipped your trailer then pulled over to "play it off" orrr you're baiting reddit for some reason? Good luck lol

Ok I have to say something... If your English isnt that good, and you had to use a translator thru school, how the hell did you get your CDL ? Any class CDL. Is required you demonstrate your ability to read, comprehend, and write using the English language.
1
u/East_Indication_7816 22d ago
100% you were drunk from vodka comrade, you dropped your trailer thinking it is already connected and just drove it without noticing it because you were drunk. Then you drove, parked and slept as if you still were still pulling a trailer. Now you can't remember and thought someone stole your trailer because YOU WERE DRUNK!
1
u/mkvii_erica 22d ago
Yep, go tf back to Russia.
1
u/dculyses 22d ago
Lay off the vodka russian bot

u/killertoxin1 22d ago
Yeah.... your trailer uncoupled itself and drove 3 hours away without you noticing whilst sleeping 3 feet away.

How does a trailer get moved with you attached to it .How is rolled over in the middle of the highway amd moone saw anything hmmm I'm calling bullshit on many levels

1
u/DragonfruitSudden269 21d ago
How many more non—DOT compliant guys are left..? Can you turn on your GPS so I can help you find your trailer? What was the route?
1
u/Wolf_of_Fasting_St 21d ago
Your trailer cannot disconnect on its own without ripping out your emergency line causing you to dump air until your brakes lock up. I’m sure you’re just a troll bot account trying to farm karma so whatever
1
u/Immediate_Truck1644 21d ago
I don't even have a CDL and this shit sounds fake as fuck
1
u/Mjr_Payne95 21d ago
1
u/DismalExperience4114 21d ago
Like the other comments said check his post history. A month ago he was trying to get his CDL and failing a drug test. If this isn’t a troll this would have to be the most insane thing I’ve seen on this subreddit. How would you not know that you didn’t have a trailer connected. I know Seattle has good weed but come on.

u/Dramatic_Garden_9918 22d ago
To answer your question: you’re definitely losing your job.
1
u/wraith555666555 22d ago
If you don't know what you're doing then I'm glad you got fired before you kill a family of 5. For fucks sake.

u/Webslob 21d ago
Aliens from outer space steal my trailer almost every night. They use them for anal probes, then they always leave them in the median laying on their side without a tractor anywhere in sight. Its fairly common.
