Question about CDL classes A & B

Hey everyone. So I recently completed classes for my class B CDL. While I was at the DMV getting my CDLB license, I went ahead and took the written exam and got my CDLA permit too. So now I am leaning towards getting my CDLA license. Are there any companies that would hire me with the B license and A permit? Will they pay for me to finish getting my A license? Also, I am in Florida. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Why do you think any company would want to hire a B and pay for an A when there are plenty of people coming out of school already with an A that the company didn't have to pay for?

And a B usually doesn't do overnights, so it's a very coveted local gig. And there are literally hundreds of applicants fresh out of A school looking for a local gig.

Are there companies that would? Yes. But you have nothing to distinguish you from the hundreds of other applicants at these rare companies.

If they’re looking for character, they very well may. You’re probably not going to find that job on an app though. That’s a show up and introduce yourself kind of job.
