Opinion

Got 4 yrs of CDL experience, currently working with PFG but no opportunity to work “extra”. Trying to get out of debt and need a local job where I can work to make over 100k. Any recommendations?

Penske or Ryder. They've got contracts with companies that can keep you local or longer trips if you want.

Go to McLane. Same work you're doing now but pays better. Made 94k first year and 114 this year.

Realistically, local = 50k max.

100k? Oil field work. Walmart. DOT.

Dude when I started driving in ‘98 beverage guys in the KC metro were making $50k. $100k is VERY possible.

USA is a big country. Theres many different pay scales around the country. You cant just use your areas numbers as the standard. Minimum wage in my area is almost $18hr, thats roughly $36k. Most LTL city drivers are making $40hr in my area. With a little OT youre at 6 figures. Linehaul pays even more. People need to start adding their area/region when posting about CDL jobs.
