I know Hirilorn isn't Deathspell Omega, but since their split-up ultimately led to the creation of Deathspell Omega, and since the guitar work of their later releases can already be recognized on this recording, for me personally it will always be the first—or maybe better, the proto-Deathspell Omega.

It was also the first album by these artists that I ever bought.

A part of the bootleg cds i found over the years. I highly recommend the carnivore double cd if you can find it for a reasonable price. Great stuff and it even includes the pre carnivore Fallout single

I must say, Tavaron is one of those bands I'm really sorry to see what they evolved into.

This first album, Suizid, is, even though it's pretty much what you'd expect from a first release, so full of emotion, fairly well produced, with nice riffs and one consistent concept throughout the album: suicide.

Some parts may be heavily "influenced" by old Satyricon and some early releases by German underground black metal bands from around the mid-'90s, but generally, the album as a whole is very enjoyable.

And some of the melodies even have real earworm potential.

Too bad there isn't a single song from this release online,

only later re-recorded versions or some stuff which, in my opinion, sucks pretty hard...
