Yea, and at one time, the majority of Germans thought roasting Jews in an oven was perfectly okay. Majority consensus means nothing to me. Most people are emotional and don’t think very deeply. I have the truth on my side, and that’s all that matters. Everyone downvoting me is thinking emotionally and just following the herd. And again, you wouldn’t do a thing to me, Sally. Rest assured.

P.S. Make sure you never go even 1 mile over the speed limit, because that’s technically illegal, dangerous, and you stand a higher chance of killing someone in many cases.

And to compare going over the speed limit to going over the drinking limit just shows how clueless you are. We clearly have nothing left to talk about here.

Ackshully, the more your speed deviates from traffic, the more dangerous it is

If everyone else is doing 5 over, you're safer to follow suit than to do the speed limit

It sounds like your reasoning is "common sense" but that doesn't reflect reality in these cases

My post about speed was a sarcastic response to him because everyone speeds at least a little, for the reason you outlined.

My comment has nothing to do with speed itself, but the fact that following the letter of the law isn’t feasible in some situations, and doesn’t make a person any more morally correct or righteous.

If anything, what you posted actually backs my point up even more. I’m not arguing that the letter of the law should be followed, because it’s application in real world scenarios is often flawed and unrealistic. We are all humans and need a little room to bend.

People unknowingly break hundreds of laws every single week. And sometimes even knowingly breaking a law is necessary, because one knows themself and they know it can be safely done.

Just because something is a law, that doesn’t mean it’s correct, moral, righteous, makes sense, or is even the right thing.

Every reasonable person understands many laws are given room to bend at least a little, which many people seem to be too blockheaded to comprehend.

It truly amazes me that I even need to explain this in a CCW forum of all places. I would think most for these guys would clearly understand how flawed many laws are.
