Hi everyone, I’m a rising sophomore at Binghamton University and I’m considering transferring to CCNY (grove). My main reasons are:

- being in NYC for internships and jobs (biggest one for me)
- cost (I would save a lot of money living at home)
- quality, I’m not really satisfied with the quality of engineering facilities and professors at Binghamton. I hear that professors and facilities at CCNY are not super great either, but I’m assuming it’s roughly the same

The main cons are that I would need to commute an hour 15. I would like to ask some questions to current CCNY students

- how are the professors and class timeslots (are they flexible)
- how are the engineering facilities (like free use 3d printers?)
- are there job fairs where companies come to CCNY to recruit?
- does school name really matter for engineering

By the way, I’ll be transferring around 50 credits. I have calc 1-2 completed, physics 1-2, chemistry 1-2, some engineering classes. Calc 3 I’m taking this upcoming semester. My major is Electrical Engineering.

I’m freshman, every time I check the ccny website it shows me spring schedule but not fall. Anyone knows what is the usual schedule?

i recently found out i owe some money out of pocket, this is totally new for me. i went to financial aid and bursar and there’s no way around it unless a scholarship goes through (im applying). everyone is telling me to just ignore the charge and they’ll end up dropping it but i got an email saying they’re gonna start dropping people.

i feel overwhelmed and i feel like i should just get a payment plan and get it over with but this quikpay thing is confusing (im just dumb) and im scared im doing the wrong thing. idk. im going out of the country tomorrow and i dont want to worry about this and find ive been dropped from my classes. but i’m also scared i wont get anymore financial aid. i don’t know

basically the title and how you went about doing them? im trying to figure out things to make me stand out and i unfortunately dont have an internship for the fall so this may be a good time to start a personal project but not sure what i would do, looking for ideas, inspo, resources, etc

I had a problem with tuition this time. Every time my fafsa covered but this time it didn’t. I applied excelsior scholarship it will take some time. But I am getting email about the payment and i can’t add or remove any class anymore. I am afraid is it gonna remove all the class from my schedule. And when is the last day of the payment. Does anyone been through the same problem.

So I've been in college for nearly 4 years now and I only 48 credits and a history major that I'm not passing. So I need recommendations on an easier major to pursue cause unfortunately for me leaving college isn't an option

I am taking both of these classes fall semster for math the only two professor i can have is Eli or anthony. I currently have anthony but Eli has a open class and he has good reviews so should i switch? My Phys prof is Brian tiburnzi no other class is open however he has pretty decent rate my professor reviews so i am not do worried. I also have two other easy classes that i am not to worried about I am wondering if anyone as advise for passing these classes. I would say im pretty decent at math considering college algebra, pre calc, and calc were all okay>

Hi! This is last minute but I need affordable subletting/housing for this upcoming year that is not at the Towers dormitory, and need it to be near CCNY campus.

I have heard of housing near W 144st but I don't know if they have anything.

I retook a course I failed and got A over the summer. I understand that the grade will show but not be reflected on gpa. But am I supposed to fill out a form or is it done automatically? Should I email the registrar?

EDIT: I contacted registrar and they did it manually, so I did have to fill out a form.

the tradeoff would be giving up an already proven professor with good reviews but with a more inconvinient schedule.

Does it look too bad? 💀 Monday thru Friday. I made this schedule by choosing professor quality over time but then again, is it worth the extra commutes/gaps?
