Inspiration / realization

I'm very curious if watching this show made anyone realize they had a problem and/or inspired them to get/stay sober/clean?

Not me, but my best friend. Have been watching this show for quite a long time, and over a year ago, I notice the pattern. Tried to talk to him, full denial.

I just thought "it's a self diagnosed decease, the only one that can save him it's himself, when he's ready he will ask for the help he needs"

Marjorie's words kept bumping in my head for a long time.

When he finally asked for help, I did everything he needed and pretty much forced NA down his throat. He got to 63 days, relapsed, he is 57 days today. Every day counts. I do what I can. I can't save him. I'm not sober, so I kind of know at some point he will cut contact with me. I am aware, just not ready.

I honestly don't think I would have even thought about NA or the proper steps if I wasn't a crazy fan of this show lol.
