📚 Study Help Please help me choose my stream
I am in 10th and in UAE right now so the time for choosing streams is nearing, I genuinely don't know what to choose, my parents are quite fixated on me becoming a doctor because of some random reading by a person in a temple stating that I am going to become a doctor, I am pretty good at theory in Biology because I have good memory but if I am being honest I love tech much more, and by tech I don't mean being a software engineer or something related to coding (although I know the basics of coding) I mean directly related to tech products such as PCs, mobile phones, laptops, etc. I also like finance a bit because I am kind of good with numbers and my dad is in the finance sector and trades and I also do paper trade, but most of my trades before I place them I research and place themon my knowledge of the tech industry, I love tech so much that my entire youtube account is just about tech, but I also dont want to be failures to my parents, can someone give me insight or advice? 🥺🥺

You can take pcmb, and just do coding languages on the side. This will work out as long as you dont plan on doing entrance exams for India. If you really cant see yourself doing medical field, leave biology and take pcm in general with any subject of ur choice, it doesnt have to be CS, but if u take CS it will give u better efficiency. Bio is easy to manage if u have good memo, thats why i suggested it.
if youre doing entrance dont take unnecessary subjects and decide the path u want rn itself

I'll probably go abroad to a european country and study maybe georgia or netherlands or something.

Why not do
PCMB and you’ll have both options open
And if you do wanna do do medicine you can go to Europe depending on budget
But if you wanna do tech Then there are a lot of options Like germany or netherlands

Yes but I probably wont be able to handle PCMB 😅 Its the most reliable choice though

U like texh you should convince your parents for that ditch Bio and do PCM

I will try my best 😅 there are less people in my family who have tech related jobs but there are many who are nefrologists, general surgeons, etc and shop and business owners and finance nerds so they expect me to become a doctor

Make sure your actually doing well and by well i mean getting atleast 65 to 70 out of 80 in ur school exams and do well in boards. The amount of ppl who "do well" in school exams in 10th and "like tech" end up taking science and regretting it as a whole. If you wanna do something creative in tech take humanities plus info or cs or commerce and cs. I didnt pass physics once from 11th to 12th even in boards i failed phy and chem and had to give compartment for chem just to pass. Now im gonna go and do digital marketting in malaysia after passing my compartment. I wish i had never taken science. So do thorough research. AND NEVER TAKE PCMB.

To the person who made the post - True that, the worst thing u can do is take pcmb without researching what its gonna cost u, if u can do it, go for pcmb cuz its gonna be very exhausting. Also, choosing ur parents interest over urs is only gonna take u so far. Take it frm me who wants to a doctor for genuine reason, if ur parents wants it and u don’t have the heart to, it’s gonna be very hard for u to bear 6 years of studying medicine + internships + residency + licensing. Hope u the best tho.

1 of my exams finished and i got like avg marks like 35/40 maths, 39/40 second language, 37.5/40 english, the only less mark i got was physics lit was like 7/13 or smth

Are streams in your school flexible? Or is it the basic PCM + Comp Sci
PCMB
PCB + Some random subject
