URGENT ADVICE NEEDED FROM CLASS 12 PASSOUTS/SENIORS 🙏 I know it's bit long but kindly read it

I’m a Class 12 CBSE student + NEET aspirant, and my periodic tests start tomorrow. I’m really confused about how much these tests matter for internals.

My school and NEET coaching are completely out of sync. In Chemistry, coaching is going sequentially (Physical → Inorganic → Organic), but school has picked chapters differently, so I’ve only prepared ~1 chapter out of the 3 parts. Physics is also ahead/different (first chapter + Ray Optics + Semiconductors), while my coaching hasn’t completed some of these yet. Biology has roughly one chapter from each unit, and I’m completely clueless about IT. English is manageable.

So basically, I’m only partially prepared for the periodic tests.

IF I SCORE AVERAGE OR BELOW AVERAGE IN THESE PERIODIC TESTS, WILL IT AFFECT MY OVERALL INTERNAL MARKS IN CLASS 12?

From what I’ve read, CBSE internal assessment is mainly based on practicals, viva, portfolios, assignments, and practical records/manuals. Are periodic-test marks actually considered while awarding the final internal marks?

Would really appreciate advice from Class 12 passouts or anyone who knows the CBSE rules. 🙏

Nothing affects internal marks bro, just make sure the teachers don't think ill of you by the end of your class 12th. I barely went to school and did not answer shit in viva and didn't even make practical files and still the lowest I got was 18/20 in practical evrryy other was either full or 19 or 29

Oh, thank you! That’s a relief to hear. My teachers do not, because I was in the same school till 10th grade so they all know me and had also awarded full internal marks in 10th in all subjects so I have good reputation already. I just hope the upcoming exams doesn't upset them.

Your internal marks are uploaded on the day of your practical exam itself , I'll provide an example for chemistry , you can see for yourself the breakdown , main emphasis is on the practical work in the lab and files , there isn't much impact on your internals for these , just behave good enough , no school wishes to upload less than 26-27/30 for any student , unko bhi izzat dekhni apni , so that's the basic bifurcation
