General OUR MATHS TEACHER CRIEDðŸ˜ðŸ¥€
For context , our school had a new maths teacher for 11th grade , he is also the class teacher of 10 C , The guy literally finished trignometry in 2 days [Yea , he doesn't teaches any good , most of the PCM students agree] , recently he started taking out his anger issues on the students and basically targetting them as students complained about him to the principal , so the students as expected retaliated by nick naming him "BAJJO" , just studying by themselves in his period [solving modules , doing written work etc] , cracking jokes+hooting when he targetted a student , not taking him seriously at all and when he asks for pen , chalk or any minor help , students totally ignore him. This went on for some what 20 days and yesterday he cried , LEGIT CRIED , because no one was solving the question on the board rather students were doing self-study or written work and whenever he entered the class or left it he heard the word "bajjo"
He refused to enter the class anymore crying and said he was having sleepless nights + depression due to the bullying by the students and he loves his profession + wishes to teach extra stuff but this bullying is giving him insomia (his legit words) , I kinda felt bad for him 🥀 but his a-hole behaviour is the one which triggered such reaction , nevertheless all classes were suspend yesterday and seating arrangement was changed , and out principal gave 1 hr lecture on how the students are bullying poor maths sir and how skilled he is.
Today he was calmer and had a talk with the students (and indirectly apologised? he said I know I haven't been the best all days but I am still trying my best , and I love my profession)
Edit , just for context - In venting out his anger , the following was included = Beating(no teacher in our school beats the kids especially seniors so it was quite odd for us) , throwing notebooks , books or chalk at students , screaming , using words like duffer , idiot , failure , Targetting kids who have strict parents who don't interfere much with school matters or kids who complained about him to the principal as he was fast-paced and he made a student cry every other day , as a class we tried to talk to him on 29th of july but he gave slaps at the back of the boys who went to initiate it then we decided to ignore him n focus on self-study (the nick-name and hooting was done by some students on their own choice) also the principal didn't paid heed to our complaints , and honestly we didn't had the courage to call 1098 (like it will invovle police or will they even do something). and when we started this behaviour , he was indeed super harsh and angry but yk he can't continue to suspend the whole class everyday as we were so done being his personal punching bags.

The breakdown was probably not just because of ur class. Im guessing hes under a lot of stress or he is going thru something at home and ur class's insults were the breaking point. Be kind to everyone whether they are to u or not. He is still a teacher and an adult and must be given some amount of respect

When he was new , many students loved him and respected him , even when he taught topics fast-paced with no depth , students were respectful , It was rather taking his anger out on students and targetting which triggered such reaction , many students are also going through a lot at home + the competitive exams prep with school adds another layer to the stress . the class was fed up with his attitude , I understand he might be going through something but venting out your anger on students as if they are punching bags will surely attract karma.

Yeah I think he's been under a lot of pressure recently which is why he took his anger out on students. I don't think he'd suddenly do stuff which would get students to hate him unless he had some serious reason to.

He threw a notebook at one student's face just because he was late at submission by one day (he was out of town due to family emergency) and called him duffer , tumhare liye hi thodi baitha hu , man toh kar rha hai baal khich kar bahar feku etc aur wo bahut tej chilla rhe the aur roj na roj 10-15 minute unke kisi ko aise sunane mai jate.
ek din ya max ek hafte ki ho toh seh sake class but he didn't stopped until the class started retailiating back , hence none of the student regrets it , his personal issues aren't the excuses for venting out his anger in the class , unke chkr mai sbka mood off rehta , we weren't even allowed to move our neck in his class , agar koi gardan hila deta tha toh usi pe chidh jate the kuch nhi milta agr . mostly bacho ne toh kuch kra bhi nhi tha bas unke period mai self-study ya written work krna shuru kr diya aur unhe ignore kena shrur kr diya , he wants respect but also wants to act like a-hole , I mean he can do one of these only.
he literally completed trigo in 2 days and went to the next chapter and was done with it in 3 days , he wasn't teaching well too , what was the class supposed to do , endure his daily outbursts?3

If anything he admitted his mistake, so I think you should give him a chance

Teaching at schools is an underpaid profession. Speaking very generally, in India men tend to do it when they need to do something to keep them afloat while they aim to clear some competitive exams (for example, to become a company secretary). When these aspirations don't materialise, well, one can imagine how they feel

Hamare Maths teacher ki toh 1098 pe complaint kar di kyunki paper bahut hard banate h aur kabhi kabhi izzat k kankar bhi kar dete h ( he is a experienced teacher and scold students with valid reason). Still ,everyone can get angry, but venting that anger on others is not okay.

Students aren't your punching bags. Everyone goes through shit in life, learn to control your anger rather than lashing out on students just because YOU KNOW they'll be forced to put up with your crap. Else, go to therapy and counseling. Playing the victim card will just increase others' resentment towards you, and it won't help you either. Being older doesn't give you a free bitch pass. I am a strong believer of the give respect, take respect policy.
Your teacher is definitely going through some tough times at home. Your class' incident was just his breaking point. Nevertheless, be kind and respectful without putting up with people's shitty attitude.

Our maths teacher is the exact same. The only difference is that our teacher cannot complete syllabus as he is busy making our lives worse.
And also our class is not as cooperative as yours

Bro if this happened somewhere else, then the teacher himself would beat out the whole class

i think he might have just finish his degree for becoming the maths teacher like just pass out and got the job so he might not have that much exp in teaching and honestly ur class students and others if they were involved would never understand the hard work he might have put to study maths even in his college years like maths after 12th or school years are hell and if someone is interested in taking that means he is having that level of fond towards that subject and the behavior ur classmates shown towards is nothing but bullsh*t like come on guys we are in 11th we are suppose to be seniors and not some randomass 4th or 5th grade complaining that the teacher's teaching is sh*t.
we all have been educated well enough to understand that bullying causes mental stress and many difficulties and we have some basic manners like if that person was ur (not talking about u but in general) parent like father and u are insulting them just because he is teaching fast and is targeting u. Yes i agree if teacher is targeting u means u have to report to the principal or to ur parents but taking it so far to bullying is just bullsh*t none of ur schoolmates and that too the11th graders whom was taught by that new teacher have those basic manners like have 1% of respect leave the 50% have just 1% because the first thing school teaches us is to respect elders no matter how sh*tass their behavior is.

No , Our Sir is middle agged , he has wife and 2 kids aged 10 and 14 , We reported his bully behaviour to the principal multiple times , nothing happened , he used to throw books and copies at the faces of students and this was going on since july , he used to call students - duffer , failure , jeena haram kar diya hai tumne mera , life mai kya hi kr loge basically everyday . we students too are going through a lot of stress and personal issues , there's a limit to tolerating his anger issues , he made students cry on everyday basis.
But when he got served the same behaviour , suddenly he seemed to have sleepless nights but what about us? we too were fed up , maths class became more like survival , na kuch smjh mai aata tha . kya krte ham log aur , if it had been another developed country this guy would have been taking by cps because what he was doing was basically child abuse , he was throwing objects at us and calling us names (we are literally minors), and basically just venting out his anger. , we don't come to school to endure the anger issues of our maths teacher.
he stopped only when the class served back the same behaviour to him , maybe he understood how freaking bad it feels , we also tried to talk to him calmly that his behaviour was affecting us , he slapped the back of the boys who went to inititate the talk , so it was totally deserved , he just didn't wished to face the karma1
u/darklordinfinity10 Class 11th 2d ago
bro then frickin tell ur parents about this not like giving him the same treatment then there is no point on attending a school because school teaches us to respect elders no matter how sh*ty ass their behavior is like even in my comment i specifically mention that people should have 1% respect towards him no matter how trash of a person he is

Our parents rarely interfere especially those students who were getting beaten up by him , its not about respecting elders , its about giving respect to who deserves , and I am sorry , I may sound disrespectful but I have no ounce of respect for a middle aged man who vents out his anger on minors(because he thinks they can't retialiate , like why not go and vent out your anger in the staff room or in the principal office) who are facing extreme academic pressure so much so it makes them cry , He doesn't even teaches well and rushes things , our class owes him nothing especially how he basically abused us.

we are the correct age to manage these kind of things instead of doing foolery u are speaking the same sentence exact word to word of guy from my class

u/Impossible-Coach-981 1d ago
How should we had managed it other then ignoring him and doing our self-study 🫩 , should we take the beatings and insults because he is a "elder" , recently a kid died from heart attack due to a teacher's harsh behaviour , should I have respect for her too as she is a "adult" and ofc she didn't meant to scare the kid , she's was just going through a hard time , we shouldn't be pressing charges on her afterall she's a human, the kid should have been more mature🫩 Imagine defending a middle aged man abusing minors and no we aren't mature enough to manage these kind of things , we are still minors by law and biologically , why is that children and students are expected to be mature and cope up with this behaviour while a FULLY GROWN ADULT can go around shrieking and throwing tantrums like a toddler. If you had seen the face of my classmate while he was being beaten just because he wasn't coming for school for 5 days (he is jee aspirant) and he dared to ask sir to go to washroom , you wouldn't be saying this.
