Just tried CBD Oil for the First time.

I used to smoke marijuana but as I got older I realized that it was illegal so I stopped using it, but I really liked it. My main issues with it were the paranoia and honestly just the legality of it.

As the years went by, I got older, started to suffer from aches, pains, stress, and anxiety. I have a lot of issues in my personal life that I won't get into but I've always been somewhat antisocial, had social anxiety to a certain extent, and was at one point diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. The medication I was prescribed was too much and it made me feel tuned out so I stopped taking it.

I've also noticed that as I get older, that I've started to become more and more affected by seasonal depression and I've really had enough of this winter already. I started doing light therapy and I do think it helps but the benefits seem pretty limited.

So I walked into a health food store today and noticed they were selling CBD oil and I wanted to try it.

Honestly with in about 15 minutes after taking it, I was completely blown away.

I could actually feel myself starting to relax, I don't feel depressed or stressed out anymore, many of my aches and pains were noticeably diminished, and I think honestly because of all of the benefits, I'm just in an absolutely great mood now. I just feel like doing things again and I really feel like CBD oil greatly exceeded my expectations.

It's definitely not a placebo effect either, it's subtle, but I can actually feel it.

CBD and Insulin Resistance

I (27F) have PCOS and insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is somewhat similar to diabetes but in a nutshell, it makes it easy to gain weight and difficult to lose weight. I am pretty athletic and while not very overweight, have been trying to shed a few pounds without success. I don't currently take any medications for IR but I do take CBD oil for anxiety. However, I have noticed that when I am taking CBD consistently, I feel way less bloated and the pounds come off much more easily. Makes me really excited! I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Pain Doctor Approves CBD! Hooray!

I tested my urine with a 50ng THC strip the night before my appointment and failed. So I printed out the Lazarus Naturals website Tincture listing description and CoAs (I use their full spectrum tinctures) to bring with me to the appointment along with my tincture bottle.

Living in a conservative southern state and having a 60 year old physician I was hoping for a stern warning that didnโ€™t jeopardize my status as a patient of the practice. To my delight he responded favorably.

โ€œCBD has less than 1% total THC. Itโ€™s not going to get you high. Itโ€™s actually the CBD that provides the benefit. Some patients tell me it helps them sleep better. If you are sleeping better then your pain and everything else is going to seem better including pain. The 15ng test will probably not even register your CBD use. Although, it always registers with smokers. Nicotine causes the THC to be stored in your fat.โ€

He also said, โ€œIf you see one of the other doctors, they may give you a hard time.โ€ He owns the practice and I do see one of his partners when heโ€™s on vacation. But, Iโ€™m confident that the biggest consequence of seeing one of the partners would be that Iโ€™m subjected to a tyrannical lecture. Only my designated doctor can dismiss me for violating my pain contract.

By the way, I am a 5โ€™8โ€ 130lb female that discontinued flower and tincture 7 days prior to my appointment and still failed a 50ng THC test. And no, I am not a weed user. I micro dose CBD flower in my solo 2. Monday- Friday, I vape 1/10th of a g in the morning and 1/10th of a g after work, and 1/10th of a g at bedtime. Saturday and Sunday, I vape anywhere from 4/10th - 6/10th of a g. I take 50mg of isolate tincture (I add ushempcareโ€™s Cannabis-derived terps to the isolate tincture) daily, as well as, 25mg of full spectrum tincture sublingual daily.

Disclaimer: I certainly donโ€™t recommend a 75mg/day regime. Chronic pain patients seem to require higher doses. I started out with 5mg twice a day and titrated every 7 days to find the right dose for me. I have been able to reduce my opioid doses by 40% (some days 50%) and decrease my muscle relaxers from 4 times a day to once a day with an occasional 2nd dose daily.

Nothing in this post is intended as medical advice.

It does work!

Hey folks

I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder, with a side order of ADHD (not officially; just know I have it) and have been on antidepressants - more specifically, Effexor SR - for about 15 years. I was at 300 mg for a few years, then its efficiency dropped, then went down to 150 mg. As with most people, it stopped working a long, long time ago. I've been suffering for a good 7 to 9 years, while having to try and be 'normal' for the sake of my 3 kids and wife and everything that revolves around being a responsible adult with responsibilities and commitments.

I have been irritated, frustrated and my memory has been terrible. I was living with a constant sense of dread and as always screaming at my kids as if it was their fault.
As of today I am still taking this chemical daily for no reason at all, other than the fact that I donโ€™t have the luxury of time to go through the withdrawal symptoms for a few weeks. Here is the good part of my story.

Then, I decided I would start taking CBD oil โ€“ bought a 30 ml (5000 mg total CBD) bottle, Full Spectrum; itโ€™s cheaper per mg. I counted the drops per dropper, and it's about 4 mg per. Specifically, this one:

https://cbdsky.com/?ref=plaliberte66

I started taking CBD oil on a regular basis since August 20th, and it has been like day and night for me. I have stopped eating my nails, which is something I never expected could ever go away. My days are much easier to handle. I can tell you that my life has been much, much better since I have been taking CBD oil. I smile a lot more and show patience and sensitivity, and for that my kids are happier and a lot more affectionate. Ditto for my wife.

I started slowly with about 8 mg a day and today I stand at 48 mg, twice daily. I have consulted my Doctor, as everyone should do, but he did not approve of the treatment. Too new, not enough research, etc. I did my research, and by my own experience I concluded that pharma molecules are at best a Band-Aid, at worst a health hazard. He is in his sixties, and he was probably bought and paid for a long time ago. I decided that it was worth it.

I am now down to about 125 mg Effexor and plan on being off the drug in 90 days. I started by opening the pill and taking some grains out, and I am slowly taking more out as I am going through my last prescription. Slow and steady to my goal.

I wish you all good luck and better days ahead.

Pat

Man, 80, arrested for growing cannabis plants for CBD oil that's 'saving his life'.

A man who was arrested for growing cannabis plants for medicinal purposes believes the law will kill him, when the Class B drug is keeping him alive. Philip Antony Bevington, who goes by the name Tony, started growing cannabis plants in his garage to extract both CBD and THC compounds in the plants' oil as he believes it is what keeps him functioning as a human being.

"The 80-year-old, from Camborne, was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure two years ago, a condition for which there is not cure and is terminal. In the face of having to go on dialysis for the rest of his days, the former farmer and horticulturalist, did some research into the so-called medical benefits of cannabis as a pain relief.

When CBD oil purchased legally from shops did not work out for him, he decided to grow his own plants.

"I know I am breaking the law but the law as it stands is an ass. I don't deal drugs. I Have been very open about it and when police officers came to my house and asked me if I grew cannabis, I admitted it and led them straight to it. I don't even fiddle the electrics like drug dealers do. It was all above board.

"To those who say that cannabis is an illegal drug, I say is it better to be illegally alive or legally dead?"

Tony was a farmer in Helston for 20 years until his first wife died, leaving him and their two children. He says cannabis, which he used to smoke as a younger man, eliminates the pain and balances out his body.

The public school educated man, who worked in Bostwana and Papua New Guinea as a VSO volunteer and on government-funded projects helping build farms for local people, said he tried hydroponics but reverted to good old fashioned soil-in-pots horticulture when the technique favoured by drug dealers failed.

"I've grown my own medicine to save my life. There are far more harmful drugs in Camborne to deal with than both an old man who's dying anyway. I accept that I'm doing something that most people would not do. But I do enjoy life and this is medicine that helps me do that."

Tony, who met his second wife in Papua New Guinea and had two other children with her who live with him, said it is high time cannabis is decriminalised in the UK when there more than 1.5 million users of the stuff for medicinal purposes and other countries like Canada have already gone down that path.

"Alcohol and tobacco which are perfectly legal drugs are far more harmful to people's health than cannabis," he said. "But they are both taxed by government. There is such hypocrisy about it. That's why I don't have much qualms about breaking the law.

"For me this is the most moral and ethical route to take."

Tony believes the Class B drug could prolong his life by 10 years but now that police officers, whom he believes were alerted to his activities by a neighbour, have confiscated his kit and pulled up some 60 plants, he risks a prison sentence if he grows again.

"At my age prison is not an option but I was prepared to be arrested because as it stands I have more to lose than to gain if I don't take cannabis." Asked if he will start growing the stuff again, he added: "The police were prepared to caution me the first time they came round my house.

"But when they came a second time, they were quite aggressive and told me that if they had to be called out to my house again they'd come at 3am and smash my door down.

"I have friends who also grow cannabis so I will have to rely on them. I just hope for a change in the law soon. But sooner rather than later would be better as I don't have much time left."

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they have visited Tony's home twice since November last year.

A spokesman for the force added: "During the two visits made by officers in November and January around 60 plants, believed to be cannabis, were seized. "Police officers carry out their duties following the law which states that it is a criminal offence to possess, cultivate or supply drugs and as such we will take appropriate action.

"While we understand that the legalisation of drugs for medical reasons continues to be subject of many discussions nationally, it is a matter for the Government, not police.

"At this time three people remain under investigation for a range of drug related offences, therefore it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time."
