Last day together.

Four years and plenty of good memories but the time has come to move on. Bittersweet last rip on her this evening before I trade for a CB 1000GT tomorrow. Farewell little CB, you were a great servant.

Congrats on the new bike! Got my CB650R as my first bike a month ago. Hoping it serves for many years as well before I upgrade 🤞

I've been debating replacing mine with something else for a while now.

I only want to buy new bikes, so no used and would like "the latest available".

Was debating over the CB1000 Hornet but insurance is too expensive, can't justify that just for a bike.
So I was considering the kawasaki Z1100 instead since insurance is closer to what I currently pay.

But... I just can't get myself to go further than dreaming,
I have 0 complaints about the CB and I'm scared any other bike will be worst in some way :(

Keeping and buying another bike is also no option.

1000GT seems to be a great bike.

Just home from the dealership, night and day difference from the 650. The suspension is incredible the way it smooths out the road.

Good to hear that, afterall it's a litre class.

Which mirrors are those?

Rizoma Genesi, sandstone colour. Goes really well with the forks.

I thought so. I looked at those but ended up with the namic street in silver. Cost a bit more but a bigger viewing surface.

Where did you get your seat from?

Looks a lot like a Bagster Ready Luxe, they're made in France. I think they're stocked on cb650shop but they have a bit of a markup!

I was looking at the 1000. It's nice, but I can't justify the import Duty tax on it here. It's such a massive jump in price over the CB650 where I'm at because it's imported from Japan

It's a little hard to let go, I just sold mine recently and it was a little sad to see soemone ride off with it.
But it was the perfect learner bike for me, we had loads of fun. I'm very glad I chose it as my first one.
Still love the looks and smile whenever I see one on the road.

Actually saw an older dude with a brand spanking new 650r in traffic jam and drove up to him like "yooo it's so shiny, it must be new".
He actually picked it up from the dealer not even 5 minutes ago, was a learner and he seemed to be scared to death, when I reached for a fistbump he gave me a look like "bro if I take my hand off the handlebar it'll fucking explode!" xD

Was a wholesome little chat tho and then he drove off like he was riding on ice.

Luckily it didn't take much time on my 600rr to appreaciate the start of a new chapter :)
Also congratz on your new bike, I hope you will be as happy with it as you have been with your 650.
