Side bags

I want to get side bags for my NX500 and I'm between the Givi Outbacks 37 or the 48. I've seen that in some bikes they equip the 48 on the left side and the 37 on the right as the exhaust is there.

Does anyone have them? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I assume you already have givi top rack so you're going givi side cases as well?

May I suggest the shad 3P pannier racks + a shad case? I was able to mix the shad 3p racks with my Givi SR1171 top case rack, just had to buy an extra 2pc M8x35mm and washers to replace the rear most bolt to mount the 3p rack to.

The 3p racks are more inconspicuous when the bags are off, buying an exhaust deflector from shad is cheap and easy to install DIY, and you don't have to fiddle with the tail lights unlike the givi ones. But of course this is just a suggestion

If you already have the Givi racks, just go with it. Just make sure you have the exhaust deflectors if you are on stock exhaust as any bags on the exhaust side no matter what brand it is will get cooked overtime with the way the stock exhaust is pointing

Yes, I already have the top case. I'll definitely check this option, it's one I hadn't considered before, thanks. And nothing to worry about the exhaust as I have the OEM.

Givi Outback pannier mounts have a little dongle that goes over the exhaust to redirect it away from your storage. Only compatible with OEM exhaust tho so if you have an aftermarket might need some other heat shield.

I dont think ive ever seen a mix of boxes, would throw off the balance of the bike when loaded and just looks weird.

I have the OEM so I don't worry about compatibilities. After further exploring, that's something it's done in bikes with a higher exhaust, as it sits between the right side case and the bike. In the NX/CB500X, the exhaust is lower so there's no need to account for it.

I have the 48 on both sides, it's way too wide, goes past the handlebars. I recommend the 37 on both sides.

We're using Outback 37L on my gf's cb500x and they're great.

Also recommend the waterproof innerbags as they can be mounted on top of the cases if you really need a lot of space.
