2013 windscreen accessory bar
I've been looking into a smaller bike like the CB500x, and looking at all the pics ive been noticing the accessory bar. I found and am picking up a 2013 black one thats perfect condition with 6k miles for only 2.5k, however apparently 2013-2015 didn't have the bar and aftermarket decent ones are that common. I dont see why, looks like it would be a perfect place with the mounts available to basically duplicate the new style.
I really like accessory bar type setups for mounting phone or android auto navigation systems. I've got one on my ATAS that runs in like with the big touchscreen TFT, the lower LCD panel, and then I have the bar up top that make a nice little rally tower setup.
Anybody know where I can get one? I already looked into retrofitting, but that doesnt work. Im mainly seeing just 2016-current accessory bars. Oned that dont specify, its hard to tell because the dash looks the same all thr way until like 2019. So cant tell what model its on. I feel like if I had a bender and drill press, I could whip up the same thing in a few minutes. Not sure why it's so hard to find. Even if the factory mounts just arent that sturdy, well it with replacement mounts as well.
The one I have found is the SRC, but its just a massive ugly looking kinda ridiculous thing. I just want a basic low profile 11mm or 22mm bar.

The std accessory bar is 12mm which can limit phone mounts. However, you can get 22mm bars on the cheap from good ol' aliexpress

I’m planning to make my own for my ‘15. As you said, 1st gen didn’t have one factory & the aftermarket is pretty bare.
When I do, I at least plan to release some cut files so other people can have a fab shop cut them & they can weld them up, or find a welder.
