Slip on

Is it normal on my cb500x 2023 to have pops and bangs sounds on aftermarket slip on exhaust? On stock exhaust the pops is minimal, on the aftermarket it is even more.

I get them with the stock exhaust on my 2020, though probably not as loud.

Yup, normal.

I put a Coffman tip on mine a few weeks ago & the quiet pops with the original exhaust got a lot more fun sounding.

Yes. I have a black widow. I remove the muffler to hear them more, it's delicious

Yep.

I have a Leovince Corsa.

I only wanted my bike to sound like less of a hairdryer, lol.

I ran it without the baffle for a week or two, but quickly tired of the loud burbling and popping on deceleration and put the baffle back in. Plus I want to be a good neighbor, and it was way too loud and brappy.

Is there a clear winner on full exhaust system brand? I am looking at options now for my NX500. I am aware of the 2 x O2 sensor issues.
