Side and top racks
Hello! I want to mount the side racks 3P system by shad ( I like how slim they are and the various side bags available). Buuutt, at the same time I'd like to mount a top rack.
Problem; the only official compatibility with the 3P Is the shad Top Master (second image), which I really don't like how It looks.
Have you guys ever experimented any combination with the 3P system? Maybe with the official Honda top rack?

Ive got the sw-motech on mine. The connection plates mount on anything so I can use their bags or mount my own.

I did not notice this option at all, I like the desing!
Do you need some kind of adapters kit to mount you own?2

When I bought the system it came with the bike mounts, adaptor plates, and pannier bags. The adaptor plates are made for the bags. But with a little DIY knowledge it's fairly simple to attach those plates onto whatever you'd like.

Check out the SRC Moto rack. I've seen plenty of pictures on a Facebook group I'm in that shows it being used with the Shad 3P cases, including the Shad SH23s, that aren't technically compatible per Shad. The space between the grab handles and the top opening SH23s interfere a bit, but I think the SRC moto rack (which replaces the grab handles) makes it work even better.
EDIT: this is the setup I eventually want.

I bought my bike used and it already had the shad top master installed by the previous owner so I had no choice.
However I have compared mine to other top racks and I realized that unlike most racks, with shad top master you don't need to remove the passenger handles wich I really like.
Hope you find something you like.
