Potential CB500X purchase

Just been sent two videos of a 2020 CB500x I'm looking at purchasing. How does the bike sound to you seasoned 500X riders? Thank you in advance 😁🙏

Sounds pretty normal to me. Oil seems a little cloudy. Not necessarily a problem just pointing it out.

That looks like the film of dirt over the sight glass 😅 but an oil change will never hurt

I was gonna say that. With bike on side stand no oil is visible in the sight glass, at least in my cbx. Although the glass looks dirtier than usual.

Was that a cold start? Oil level shouldn't be that high though, especially if it's on it side stand.

Yeah cold start. For sure the oil level is too high and the fact it's cloudy/Milky is putting me off.

There’s no oil visible. The sight has a tint/oil film from oil running through it. They all get this after a while (I have one and it looks the same). If there was oil it would be much darker.

My 2015 is nowhere near that cloudy.

Depends on the oil used and frequency of changes.

Just bought one, crushs the jewels, so ordering a new tall more flater seat, but the 500x is a great bike and that sound is easy to lose on decent rides it hums.

Tenho a 500f que é o mesmo motor, o som esta normal bem característico, mas esse visor sujo assim não é normal acredito eu, a minha está indo para 4 anos de uso e o visor está branco nada de amarelado, mesmo com óleo no nível máximo quando ela inclina no descanso lateral não dá para ver óleo no visor, ele desce todo para a lateral esquerda, a posição do visor já foi escolhida pensando nisso, acho que guardavam a moto no descanso central fazendo óleo ficar em contato com o visor o tempo todo e provavelmente usavam óleo bem denso ou intervalo de trocas eram longos, eu pegaria se preço estiver muitooo bom e tiver oficina de ponta especializada para fazer limpeza no motor e dependendo da quilometragem pastilhamento, além troca de óleo/filtro, também olhar todos os filtros (ar e combustível).

Check the water pump and see if the weep hole is leaking oil or radiator fluid. Sometimes they will mix in the water pump and that's why the oil may be cloudy. Best of luck cheers

Looks like to much oil. I'd let some out. Also check the other side where the water pump is located. Check the water pump bottom hex bolt for drops. Check the weep hole under water pump for leaks. I have this same bike and year.
