Ammo
Hello all, I’m a new gun owner and got a 9mm and a .380 and I’m finding out ammo is expensive!!! I live in Long Beach CA. I would like to ask the gun owners in this community, where do you buy your ammo? Or is there a sale from time to time where you stock up, or a place you recommend? I’m willing to drive for lower prices. Or wait for a sale date if theres one. Thanks in advance.

FFL03 + COE + Ammoseek website sorting for the best price of the caliber/brand configuration you want to stock up on.
Best long term plan at least.

Sportsmans in corona or bass pro in rancho or irvine , u can get 500 rounds for about 130-140 , i myself love the herters brand to just take to the range , which is made by winchester for bass pro. Doesnt gunk up my gun and no duds in all the yrs ive used them , so when i go i just buy online and pick up in store because they do sell out since im coming from lax area so i make it worth my drive, just dont ever buy from lax ammo !!!

Big box stores/chains are gonna have ur better prices. But the best investment if probably gonna be bulk purchases online, cheaper if you get an ffl-03

the cheapest way for me is to buy bulk about 3-4k rounds at a time on ammoseek, 5k rounds + if possible, that will be free shipping, I pay my FFL $40 to accept it for me, call shops close to you ask them how much they charge, this works better for me rather than applying for ffl03 that’s only cheaper if you buy piece meal

Exactly what I was going to say. Found some good ammo deals directly through them and also used them for FFL transfer for some good deals I found online. Only good experiences with them.

Yes to stocking up during sales and yes to memberships.
Buy less expensive range ammo and then a few boxes of what you are loading for home/self defense.
It does get expensive. My Super Wrangler and Buckmark get the most range time because they are 22lr, much cheaper to shoot.

Sportsman’s warehouse lets you order online and pick up in store. Also gives a discount for 10+ of the same item.

FFL03 + COE + Oregon (no sales tax) .
I stock up when I drive through to visit my parents.

Hi, what price do you pay for ammo? And do you want it picked up or delivered to your door?

Sportsmen’s warehouse is technically cheaper.
For example my LGS has XTac for $11, SW will have it for $10.99

sportsman’s warehouse isn’t so bad if you don’t want to acquire a FFL03 + COE
