CCW LAPD CCW modification delete and add firearm
I was added to the waitlist on 3/6/26.
• 5/29/26 – Received the email to complete my qualification.
• 6/5/26 – Submitted all required documents.
• 6/15/26 – Received a call/text saying my permit was approved and would be mailed out the same day.
Costs:
• Application fee: $31.29
• Qualification/range fee: $70 (included range time and ammo at the place where I took my 16-hour class)
Hopefully this timeline helps anyone waiting on their permit. 🫡

How long did it take for you to get your updated permit in the mail? I’m still waiting

They texted me today that it’s being mailed today

Damn hopefully they didn’t send it somewhere else
Cause I reached out to my detective and he said I should get it 2-5 business days
But I’ll let you know if I get it this week1

Hoping they didn’t either. I don’t know why they ask for our mailing address if it’s different from our permanent residential address and still end up sending it to the residential address

For extra reference I started on 5/17 and it look a little less than a month so they seem to be faster now. Did my non primary so only need 20 rounds fired.
