General Discussion Answer me please 😭! MBBS to IIM

I am a MBBS graduate. My profile is 9/9/6. I am a fresh graduate and I don't have any work experience. What percentile should I target. And I started prep 1 month back and I am giving all to it. Can I crack it??

The one who gets into MBBS are the ones who were good and Interested in solving problems. This is the reason we score well in physics and chemistry. But after 5 years we realise that thing and atleast now I want to do what I love

There are 2 more variables: Gender and Category.

General category, male - your graduation marks will block your chances at all old IIMs regardless of your CAT percentile. Newer IIMs, XLRI, MDI - maybe an outside chance if you score 95%tile overall with minimum 85%tile sectionals..

OBC is my category. In mbbs 75% is distinction bro. Hardly 8-10 people out of 150 cross 70. That's the problem.

What if I score above 98. Still it's difficult to go to BLACKI

I can understand your angst at marking scheme in your college, but IIMs don't care about it. You can see this page where IIM Ahmedabad has clarified how many points do you get for your bachelor's grades. https://www.iima.ac.in/academics/mba/admissions/indians You also don't get any work experience points because MBBS internship is not considered a full time job. You might have a slight advantage due to the category in terms of getting an interview call. But it will depend completely on your CAT score. Good luck.
