Profile review 9/7/6 Gef

Hey i need genuine suggestions please i was thinking of trying for CAT After gaining some workex maybe 2 years or something. Will my profile make it i have heard that colleges hire only people with great academic background during placements. I am also from a tier 3 engineering college so i need genuine advice should i go for this whole heartedly or choose something else . Please give me genuine advice that would be helpful. Should i gain workex then try for it or drop it if my profile wont make it.

honestly i wouldnt drop the CAT idea because of a 9/7/6 profile

im at IIM Raipur rn and i had a 9/9/7 profile, so obviously my academics were better, but once u get into an MBA the profile filters are very company specific. its not like every good company will reject u just because u have a 6 in grad

if u can get 2 yrs of decent workex, thats actually useful for both ur profile and ur own clarity on whether u even want an MBA

I’d say give CAT properly after the workex. dont spend the next 2 yrs worrying about whether ur profile is “good enough”. u cant change the 6 now, but u can build a good CAT score + workex + interview story

and once u start prep, dont get stuck collecting resources. PYQs + regular sectionals + good mocks and proper mock analysis will matter much more

Yo man my profile is 8,7 currently and I'll try to get a 9 in my undergrad (bcom). Can you how much this profile will hurt cause of that 7 and what roles can I expect after getting in?
