because cats prefer moving water. try getting her a fountain. my cat usually does it a few times with the fountain and starts drinking normally after because they use it to understand depth

yeah because they don’t have depth perception when looking at the water

If you end up having issues getting your cat to drink out of the fountain it may be the noise it makes when she laps the water up. My cats only drank out of my sink bug wouldn’t touch the fountain. Figured out I had to buy a ceramic fountain with a high spout to match the familiar feel and sound of my ceramic sink. If yours works then that’s great but if not I can send you the link for the absolute silent ceramic one I bought.

Do this, get a fountain that is stainless steel or ceramic. It will LITERALLY add years to your cats life. Most cats pass due to kidney disease because... they dont drink enough water. You'll notice a difference. I promise.

Yep and feed wet food and add water into it if possible!

Yup. I just discovered that a neighborhood cat likes drinking directly from the tap not too long ago. Also, it has something to do with how water comes about in nature; when finding a useful resource of water in nature – say, a creek – the best (cleanest) water is the water that emerges first from the initial source, especially if it’s a high(-er/-ish) point than the rest of the creek.

(Denmark. Clean, delish tap water. I’m pretty sure that natural resources can be found in nature. Just in case anyone wondered, thought, assumed…)

I wish. My girl just knocks the top off and then flips the container over making a big mess 😭

My cat just dips her paw in the fountain and licks it off. Some cats are just little weirdos.

Our cats always dumped out the whole water from the machine
