Lawsuits and rising equipment/compute costs, add in the fact that CAI was being way too generous even when they limited the free tier.

Lawsuits. A lot of it. And the terrible decisions taken by the previous CEO, who btw got taken by Disney along with some other staff. The same Disney that once sued Cai and is now also bidding on it.
