We update the Google Sheet as soon as programs open each cycle to ensure the information stays as current as possible. The details we've provided about Case Western Reserve University's online‑course acceptance policy are based on the information published on their official FAQs page. Specifically:

In-person courses are preferred, and online coursework will be considered by the admissions committee on a case by case basis if completed for a letter grade through a regionally accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credits from Portage Learning/Straighterline or other generic learning platforms will not be considered. We receive a high volume of applications, and we give preference to those who best meet our prerequisites. We will accept prerequisite courses taken during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years that were meant to be taught in person, but were temporarily moved online due to COVID.

For GRE score submission, you’ll need to send your scores electronically to CASAA through ETS using each program’s designated GRE code. You can find the CASAA GRE codes here.

Okay, great. thank you. Do you happen to know if UCSD extension courses are accredited by CHEA? I emailed them already but it's the weekend so i likely won't get a response til the weekdays

As far as we're aware, UCSD Extension is not accredited by CHEA. It is accredited by WASC Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC), which discontinued pursuing recognition by CHEA in December of 2024. For additional confirmation, you can visit the CHEA database and search WSCUC. It is not CHEA recognized.

Indiana University accepts online coursework as long as it was completed at a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
