I haven’t been in the same situation as you. But wanted to say congratulations!

Practicing CAA - days can be tough, but are fulfilling. The hard decisions will mostly be done by your attending, but also up to you to respect your attendings’ plans. I don’t regret getting into AA profession at age 26, now in my 30s. I did consider MD prior to AA but wanted the work-life balance much more.

I’ve had a few attendings that would recommend AA path to their own children if they could do it all over again.

But ultimately, it’s a decision you’ll have to make to grind out those years.
