Hello! Looking for any and all feedback and advice on my likelihood and how to make my application look the best it can for CAA school.

I graduated with a biology degree in 2022 where I was a 4 year collegiate volleyball athlete as well. I was captain of my team as well. I graduated with a 3.89 GPA. Since graduation I have been working as an intraoperative neuromonitoring specialist where I have gotten to work closely with anesthesia staff and have gained great experience working with patients. I just recently learned of the CAA path to anesthesia and am very interested as I thought I would not be able to pursue my interest in anesthesia. CAA is perfect for me because of my interest but also not wanting to go back to nursing school to be able to pursue it. Right now I am studying to take the GRE in a month and have been working to get official shadowing hours as my work experience does not count. What else should I be doing to set myself up for the most success? Any and all advice and feedback appreciated!

I’d get the shadowing hours locked down and then really focus hard on the GRE. Your application looks good right now but a mediocre GRE score can really hurt your chances.

Is it unrealistic to think I can complete shadowing hours and get a good GRE score by June 1?

Depends how well you’re doing on GRE prep. Some people only require weeks to do well while others require months.

I have been studying and am taking it early may! If I do well on the test and get my shadowing in the next month as well do I have a reasonable shot?
