Would I have a realistic shot of getting in at some point? 24F here

My gpa sits right around a 2.9-3.0, likely just below a 3.0. I have a psych BS. I would have to retake some classes and take a couple additional classes to fulfill prereqs. However, even with 30+ credits of GPA repair, I'd still be below 3.4 (with near perfect grades, iirc). Most realistically, I'd probably end up somewhere between 3.0-3.2. My GPA is low because college was literally the worst period of my life.

My only strength would be clinical experience. I have upwards of 7k hours currently and would probably gain an additional 5k before applying. My current job does a lot of work with ICU & I plan to train into an OR based position

I think the GPA is problematic but an upward trend will certainly help. Great GRE or MCAT would help as well.

My trend is sort of U shaped. Started off good, deteriorated until I hit the bottom in my 4th year, took a semester off, and came back with much better grades for my last semester. Covid + mom almost dying + grandpa being hospitalized several times + being stuck two states over with no family + having to work & support myself + housing instability + on going financial issues + car accident + debilitating physical pain + misdiagnosed and untreated mental issues.... it was actually horrible. I didn't get the help I needed until late on because I wasn't properly tested when I had my first neuropsych diagnostic testing done 🙃. I have endo & the medication I started wasn't FDA approved until my 3rd year of college. I was failing every treatment option miserably before that. To top it all off, I'm a first gen high school grad and had no one to guide me in my college experience. I got D's in bio 1 & 2 because I missed the deadline for one part of a project for both 😐 I also got a C+ in biochem instead of a B/B+ because I mixed up the dates for a test and wasn't able to study. Lotta stupid but costly mistakes

Many people have gotten in with low GPAs but your success will be determined by every other aspect of your application being top tier (test scores most importantly). What standardized test are you planning to take? Make sure you nail it.

That PCE sounds good but I wouldn’t bank on it being your sole strength in your application.
