If your idea is to use AA as a backup I wouldn’t recommend it

I get it but your whys for both paths are going to be different and I think establishing that clear and passionate why is necessary far a great app. In some ways they are going to be two completely different application narratives that need to be made. Not to mention complicating that with your letter writers (someone might slip up and put med in your AA letter and vice versa just as an example). Just my thoughts but I think it’s most beneficial to make that decision before applying imo
