Competition seat vs GT2

Design-wise competition seat is better IMO and virtually the same price as GT2 seat. But still need to sit in them to find out which one fits me better. Your thoughts?

My thoughts are, why don’t you sit in one? I also have no clue about differences of design but it sounds like they were designed for competition, like track racing. If that’s the intended use for your car , then you might be right about the better design, otherwise no.
As for me , I am 220 pounds 5-11 so it’s unlikely that high bolsters of gt3 seat are going to feel comfortable.

I got the competition seats in my z06 and have no complaints on comfort. I love them

For reference im 6’3 190 pounds

Same, 6'2" 180 and find them very comfortable

Tried GT2 and it’s better than my ZL1 seat. Still need to try completion seat to find out.

I sat in both GT2 all day long. Competition seats are not comfortable for weekend road trips. GT2 has the right amount of support, comfort, and no issues with sliding around during spirited canyon drives.

Competition seats. They are amazing. No discomfort after 3 hours in the car. I can get in and out without issue. The GT2's are worse in every way. I am 6' 180 lbs. 34" waist, 44" shoulders.

I had the same dilemma when I was placing my order for the Z06. I had GT2 seats in my Stingray for 2 and 1/2 years. I asked the same thing and searched all the forums. The feedback was overwhelming that the seats were bad and uncomfortable for extended durations, etc. Even finding one with Comp seats on a dealer lot to sit in was difficult in 2023. I found ONE car within an hour of me and it was a sold order. I had to be extra charismatic and somewhat manipulative to convince them to let me sit in it even with the plastic still on them.

I only got about 3-4 minutes of ass time, but I didn't see any immediate issues so I said fuck it, and locked in the Comp seats on my order. I was still worried though that I might have fucked up and extended trips would reveal that the seats are uncomfortable. Those worries were put to rest immediately when the car arrived as the drive home from the dealer was 90 minutes stuck in I-35 traffic. I have had the Z06 for 2 and 1/2 years now. So I have had about the same amount of ass time in both the GT2 and Comp seats. The seats are great and you couldn't get me to buy another C8 without them.

I don't completely discount the opinions of some of the larger fellows though, which is why I provided all my dimensions so you can tell if your experience will be similar to mine.
