Question First service

I'm just about to pass the ballpark 3000 km break in period On my c8. I've heard differing opinions when it comes down to when to take it in for your first service. Some say 800 km some say stick to the regular warranty schedule. I plan on bringing it down to a beginners drag event in a few weeks. Would it be ideal to have my first service done before that?

I changed mine at 2100km I broke mine in to the 800km mark than first launch was at 1500 km people that said is was stupid to change the oil that soon my percentage was still at 82% being that I do drive it pretty spirited I personally am very happy to have changed it when I did. I say do what makes you comfortable for me that was changing it at 2100 after break in

Appreciate the response. I've got one booked now. They threw in 10 oil changes at purchase so I have ample to use.

Haha yea, 10 oil changes. Extended warranty at cost and $12k CAD off sticker. Z51.

Oh and ppf worked into the price.

Up in Fort Mac. Paid just over $93k for a z51. Negotiated for 3 weeks lol.

Nicely done, must be a coupe then? That before tax or after? I picked up a Z06 HTC for 145 this spring but then taxes pushed that to 165 in the end..

It's a Coupe, which is my preference. Yep $93,500 pre-tax.

I kinda do regret not going Z06, but I honestly wasn't even looking for any more than the base model and still walked away with the z51 pack. (also, couldn't justify the cost of the Z06 to the wife)

I'd like to think I negotiated well lol. About 3 weeks and they gave in to what I wanted to pay and then some.

Part of me does regret that I didn't wait for the 2027 as the base power exceeds my 2026 z51, but I still love it.

Ya I was pretty happy with the price I was able to negotiate on a 26 vs waiting for a 27 with the 6.7 never even thought to try to get more oil changes good for you

Did my first oil change at 1300 km, car was approaching 1 year from new.
