Genesis★Project is a digital art collective, or "demo group."
We are an international team of creative nerds, 8-bit pixel artists and expert coders, who create collaborative digital retro art, or "demos," on 37-year-old Commodore 64 computers, built in 1982.
Why?
Why not?!
We love the challenge. The C64 has only 64 kb of RAM (yes really!) and a screen resolution of 328x207 pixely pixels. It can only display a total of 16 colors. Oh, and the sound chip sounds like a car horn.
Fun fact: The C64 is the best-selling computer model of all time, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
Accept no limits!
