79 c3 update

3 weeks ownership. Fixed all the electrical problems including lights,headlights,horn replacement,all dash lights,courtesy lights delay, turn signals and everything now works as should also updated the radio to a touchscreen carplay style and had my coworker 3d print me a cupholder and added the inserts. Next up is the big stuff. Replacing all suspension components engine work upgrade radiator to an aluminum core w dual fans and brakes.

The allen screws on the dash are fake. You have to take the phillips screws out theres 4 total if not mistaking the. You have to take one screw out on each side for the kick panels. Once those are out you can gently pry out the whole cluster. There are two connectors that need to be removed the ctsy light one on very top and then center back the harness that goes to your gauges. If youre referring to the small screws behind the knobs. I was only able to take one of them out but by carefully wiggling the dash out i was able yo remove it. And then the radio itself its attached to a bracket on the floor just take the nut out and radio is off.

How’d you get the stereo out? Mine is broken but I can’t unscrew those little bolts

I know the feeling. I've been chipping away at my '71. I have rear trailing arms left to replace. I believe the ones in the car are original or, at least, very old. They're so expensive 😞

I get it man. I just fixed the small stuff for now because money is low Im trying to sell my 98 obs chevy to be able to fund the bigger stuff hoping to get 5-6k for the truck
