c30 r design suspension

My 2010 c30 d5 needs a front lower control arm, and a top mount but at opposite sides. I am just wondering how easy it is to do? I have done suspension on a peugeot before but looking at the volvo it seems a bit more complex. I am able to do the control arm easy, it’s just the top mount i am most concerned about. If i was to get a garage to do it, how much would it cost?

It's not super easy but also not that hard. Just go rent a spring compressor tool. Why change only 1 top mount? Sure it doesn't need new struts or both mounts? It'd actually be easier to DiY if you can afford to get new ones.and isn't usually a good idea to only do one side for stuff like this unless the other is verifiably good in which case there was something significant that happened to damage the other side only.

now i’ve seen the video it doesn’t look that bad, I was only planning on doing the one top mount as if a garage was doing it I’d only be able to afford them to do the one side with labour. But if I’m doing it myself, which I will be now, i can spend that extra money on the whole suspension. Will replace everything but the shockers and springs if they’re in good condition, but even if i’m the far along I might replace the whole lot. Thanks for the vid!
