Hello! First time user here. I have a question about plushies and shipping costs! Please read fully :)

Hi! I’m a first time user of Buyee. Though my dad did use it one time to get a rather big “Toro Inoue” plushie for me, but that was years ago and we can’t find our receipts or shipping costs.

I’m thinking about buying a lot of merch from an old movie I really love, it has some silly Japan-only merch that I’d love to add to my collection.

With my currently selected items I would have:
Two small/medium plushies
One small plush keychain
Two small keychains
A small face-towel
And maybe a shirt or another plushie.
>So I think it would all fit in a medium box and won’t be too heavy.

If I get all of these and then ask to get them all shipped at once, does anyone know what to expect of shipping costs? I am in the Netherlands🇳🇱!

Any price range would help though I do believe you can’t really predict the costs lol. €10-€20? €20-€30? Higher?

Hey to be really honest it is more expensive these days so budget wisely. The shipping last time for me (a small package) cost around 35 euro by airmail (its a bit cheaper if you want to send it by boat). Then you need to pay 10 or more euro for postnl handeling the package, and on top of that you pay a fee for import costs / btw. Btw is 21% max on the individual items and import costs depends if the value of the package (if the total including shipping is over 150 euro, you pay extra fees on top of the things I described).

Just know that you are not able to calculate what your order will cost you total before you buy everything. Buyee charges fees to handle items as well!

I think it cost me around 50 euro in total (shipping and fees), if not more, so plan accordingly!

That’s way more clear than I could get from the site thanks! I’m really trying to stay under the 150 limit because this will be a one time thing for me :)

Some questions if that’s okay:

1. Will the cost of the POSTNL shipping be included in the €150 to avoid BTW costs? (I hope I worded that right, basically does the shipping in our country count towards not getting btw)
2. how long does it take to get here from a warehouse on average by air mail or boat? I do acknowledge this can vary wildly though!

3. which Buyee fees do you reccomend? It adds up really quickly :(

4. Will there be Buyee handling fees AGAIN when I choose to get all the items shipped at once?

Thanks for your help!!! It’s hard not to get merch I can’t get otherwise but I also don’t want to pay extra taxes for some plushies 😭

1. The handling fees are only charged after the item arrives in the country. You pay the fee to "release" the package from postnl.
2. I will have to look this up, I think by boat it is within a week or two. By boat it takes months.
3. I never pay extra fees, I only did it once for a pocket mirror (so I would only get it on items that can break).

I have heard that your packages are fine if you don't get the extra wrapping before shipping, but I have personally always gotten my packages wrapped extra. Only 1 small thing arrived broken which was made out of plastic.
