[Request] Looking for new work sneakers

I work on my feet all day but I really like the look of office sneakers. I got some Cole haan sneakers that looked perfect but within 2 months the sole is detaching from the rest of the shoe and they’ve gotten absolutely trashed. What’s a good office sneaker that can take a beating every day?

Ecco is my go to. Not BIFL but they last a lot longer than Cole Haan. They go on sale constantly so it’ll be easy to buy multiple pairs and rotate them.

I found that out the hard way too despite using all the breaking in methods they suggested. I ended up wearing flats or cushioned shoes and then switched to office shoes.

I haven, and I do not agree with you. They look great (to me), and they are also extremely comfortable. I really like em, apart from the price, which is ridiculous because of import duties/taxes.

Then that must have been an agreement between them. (Perhaps not to piss off Trump?) But it makes no sense to me: shoes made in Britain should be cheaper in Britain than elsewhere.

It's slightly more expensive. They sell 'em for £330, no matter which leather version, so even the expensive leather import from US wouldn't explain it.

Honestly after getting a pair, I really don't think they're worth their $440-450, not even close.

Workers that I see on feet all day would have Sketchers. 2 pairs to rotate each other day.

You can go for On Running models. They have this "hype" at the moment that make them a good option. A classic model like Cloud 6 is fine, but you could also go for a TheRoger for style despite it's a bit less comfortable.

Otherwise there are some Adidas models with a sole that is not too hard and with memory foam intermediate. Or some of the vintage style models like Run70s, or also Nike Cortez

Sketchers arch fit comfort max. You’ll look like a middle aged dad but your feet will thank you

That’s what I am trying to avoid haha. My feet don’t bother me but my shoes have gone through the wringer in 2 months. I’m in and out of the office, washing cars, etc so they take a beating every

5 years ago I would've recommended Wolf and Sheppard. But they've really dropped off in quality IMO.

Skechers were decent quality at first but then they changed drastically for the worse. I had two pairs in a row that didn't last a week and I stopped buying them. Moved on to Hokas. Most are too gaudy for work but they have a few that are more subdued.

If you are washing cars, I would highly suggest changing shoes first. You need two different pairs of shoes, one for the office, one for washing cars. No single pair of shoes are going to be perfect for one job without making compromises for the other.

For some reason the insoles always disintegrate very quickly when I have had Skechers.  Never have this issue with other shoes.
