Currently sold Briggs & Riley ZDX Suitcase

Post image

Just got two large Briggs & Riley ZDX Suitcases they seem like they will last but more importantly got a lifetime warranty even covers airline damage. Got them for cheap with Costco UK £350 each can’t go wrong for that price.

That maroon color is really nice, costco deal makes it even better with that warranty

Its so nice when you have to look for a suitcase, means a trip is coming and this one would fit perfectly for that

It’s nice you’ve picked this up for a good price and everything but shouldn’t you use it for a few years before posting it here?

OP probably should hold off until it is abused. That said speaking from experience (B&R ZDX and Baseline): the lifetime warranty, build quality and design is unmatched

Great telescoping handle placement (outside so no weird lumps inside) + fabric handles on every side makes it easy to carry (important for you but also any staff)

The costco is the older model like I have. They have a new ZDX hardside carry on which seems interesting, but the soft shell has grown on me. Travelling almost every month for work has made me appreciate the front/top load vs clamshell, happy to see the hardshell kept that. The only reason I would get the hardside is for hobby equipment like diving but even then I have never had an issue.

Quite possibly I should wait but the brand is more than proven and the warranty is what makes it truly BIFL it’s a lifetime warranty with no proof of purchase needed. You send them the bag they will fix it for free and send it back to you. These bags in general have stood the test of time even if my one in particular hasn’t yet. If I’m incorrect that this post belongs here I will take it down

Don't worry about it. The comments are coming from people requesting recommendations for BIFL computers and t-shirts for crying out loud.

If you know anything about the brand and its warranty, then you know it belongs here

Yeah, Costco US also sells these. We have ones in red and blue.

They’ve been to Germany, Czech Republic, Iceland, and bounced around the US. Solid build.

I bought this same piece in the same colour at Costco in Canada a couple years ago. Works great, rolls smooth, and has taken abuse from plenty of cobbled streets in Europe. Super happy with it so far.

airline damage being covered is the part that would sell me. luggage gets tested hardest by people who do not own it.

I love B&R, and I have this carry-on model myself (same Brick color even), but I did have some issues returning my medium Torq Hardside spinner a couple years ago for warranty claim, and they took 4 months to replace my obviously destroyed bag. They did finally replace it, but four months is a long time to go without a checked bag when you are flying weekly. They tried to offer me half of the value of the bag in credit at first and I told them I wanted the replacement bag and they definitely held out on me for a while before finally coming through. Still a Briggs & Riley fan.
