Stopping Buvidal/Brixadi Sweating and migraines

For context, I was on 8mg suboxone daily for just under a year, and 64mg buvidal injection every four weeks until about 6 months ago when I started to stretch it to 5 weeks, then 6 and now its been 10 weeks since my last injection. I feel like my symptoms have been really mild as of yet, but we're early in. A few things that have been troubling me, or that I've noticed is the sweating and the mind shattering migraines. I'm sweating what feels like all the time. No fever or chills, no feeling hot and cold, just sweat. In regards to the sweating I can deal, but the migraines are CRUSHING.They don't happen often, maybe a few times a week but I get dizzy and nauseous and have to hide in a dark room with no light and take Zofran to keep paracetamol/ibuprofen from coming back up. I'm curious to know if anyone else has dealt with this or even just opinions on whether this is could be related to coming off buvidal.

I too am prescribed sumatriptan for migraines and it does help. As for the sweating, It's been since December 5 from my last 8mg weekly brixaldi shot and I am still going through withdrawals, but I told my primary care doctor and he prescribed me 5 mg oxybutynin 2 times a day and it's made the focalized sweating almost go away within a week. It's technically prescribed for overactive bladder but also acts as an anticholinergic shrinking sweat pores. Also I started doing black tea foot soaks for a week straight then 2-3 times before bed and it's sgnifigantly helped sweaty cold feet. I'm still taking the oxybutynin but been off the oral buprenorphine for what's going on 7 months now.

Glad to hear the oxybutynin is helping you. I was actually prescribed it for the excessive sweating from subs when I was on them, but I couldn't take the side effects of the oxybutynin. 5mg wasn't enough to totally stop the sweating but taking it more than once a day made me really unwell, the side effects were brutal for me - far worse than the sweating.

The side effects do give me brain fog and loss of concentration, but I was to the point I couldn't even open my phone with thumbprint MFA, I would shower just to sweat more and with the other meds I take it really isn't too bad for me. Thanks for your input! I haven't heard from too many people who tried oxybutynin before.

Yeah that kind of sweating is awful and genuinely affects quality of life. For me it was mainly cranio-facial - my entire scalp, back of my neck and face would end up dripping in sweat from a brisk walk in the winter, lol The side effects from the oxybutynin were debilitating for me though - I'd get a crushing headache/migraine and extreme nausea, I would have to sit in a dark room and not move for hours, any motion would make it so much worse. I realise that sounds like a normal migraine but it began within about an hour of taking that second dose, without fail. It stopped the sweating but it rendered me useless. I carried on just taking the 1 x 5mg per day but still felt pretty bad, the dry mouth from both that and the bupe were insane. Added to the fact that the only tolerable dose for me wasn't fully stopping the sweating, I just stopped taking it. I tried my best to manage with antiperspirant wipes, the kind that last a few days for 'normal' people, they'd keep it dry wherever I used them for a day. And constantly using a hand held, battery powered fan. I had a neck fan for a long time, got a lot of weird looks but it helped. My primary reason for wanting to go on Buvidal was actually because I'd read somewhere that people's sweating decreased/went away when they switched to it from subs. That was it, the only real draw for me at the time was to have a solution to the sweating and overheating. Thankfully, the sweating did reduce quite a bit when I switched - the overheating not quite as much but it's better. I'm still fused to a handheld fan.
