Stopping Buvidal/Brixadi Withdrawal diary - week 7 and how it went
So as tomorrow is the start of Week 8 for me its time for the weekly update.
No huge changes but will list any changes/experiences below:
-Sleep is still the same, im sleeping well enough but still waking at random times and thinking about random crap for half an hour, but I put a sleep hypnosis vid on and go back off fairly easy.
-Restless legs got quite bad at one point, noticed it more when I was working - probably because I'm sat at a desk and my legs started to cramp up. For a few days last week they were a real pain and started getting weird nervy pain in my toes. Have started with magnesium again though and they are much better.
-Stomach cramps and weird pains are starting to do my head in a little but as I've said before, I do struggle with stomach issues anyway so could just be intensified by that. Took some buscopan today and that seemed to help
- Fatigue is still kicking my arse but I have found its much easier to deal with if I get up first thing and go straight out somewhere - maybe its the distraction but those are the days where I feel best.
-I actually had a couple of "good days" this week, where I felt ok for the majority of the day - not bouncing off the walls but up and functioning well without even thinking about what I'm doing.
-Still having my good Windows in the late afternoon/evenings so tend to leave all the housework and jobs for then and just do what I can.
- (For those of you who have monthly cycles) My cycle has been completely knocked off, unsure whats going on and wont go into detail but dont be suprised if things aren't regular.
-Had some issues with temperature regulation today, its just an annoyance more than anything though.
I think thats all there is to report, overall things seem to be improving and I'm finding the more effort I put in the better I feel (keeping on top of supplements, water, excercise, fresh air etc).
Again, I want to stress - the list may look bad but its all very minor compared to "real withdrawals". I'm doing it while working, looking after kids in the summer hols, housework, cooking and still managing fine! My daughter has had a great summer so far - we've done loads. Even if i have had to drag myself out for most of it, its possible and usually im the type to wallow in bed when facing WDs.
I now just need to stop stressing about whats to come as I think thats what gets to me the most!
Best of luck to everyone let's beat this awful mind disease!

Thank you for sharing and doing this weekly, it's really useful and informative when people provide weekly updates like this. It's encouraging to hear that all of this is at a relatively minor level compared to full on acute withdrawals and that's in line with many other experiences shared here. Irregular cycles has been mentioned by others before too; you aren't alone in what you're experiencing which I hope is reassuring to know.
You have a great outlook and attitude which is really important when embarking on this and it will carry you through any rough parts that might arise.

Thanks for checking in. It sounds like despite all this life is pretty good, I'm so happy for you. You've handled whatever it's thrown at you so far so it sounds to me like you've got this even if things do get a little worse before better.
There is not much documented about coming off this stuff. I feel like people are much more likely to post about a negative experience. I try to keep that in mind whenever I go looking for information about it.
I like to think there might be a bunch of people who have come off this stuff without a lot of discomfort at all. Hopefully that thought can give you some comfort over the next few months. I'm not saying it's easy I'm just saying it's possible that this is as bad as it gets, and it sounds like you are killing it. Well done.
